[ The Pantheon Days ]

“Ohhhh….right - i’ve heard of it, silly me.” Andy felt her cheeks go red. Netflix was new to her and she only heard about it because of some of the models chattering away about it at one of her shoots. This was not blending in. “I will, it will give me something to do when I get home.” She told her. 

“Most people have, darling, it’s alright.” She brushed away the slip casually, although it would seem odd to her, later on. “Do you live alone then?” 

He bit his lip as the shiver ran through her body, leaning up to meet her lips as she pulled them together. Marcus slid his hands around to the small of her back, pulling her body flush against him. “I don’t see you complaining,” he grinned after leaning back to catch his breath. He settled back in his chair and ran his hands along her spine, smiling at this one small victory in his favor. “Admit it. You missed me,” before pressing back in to capture her lips in another kiss.

“Oh trust me,” She said, wryly. “If you could hear my thoughts, you wouldn’t be so sure.” Truth be told, she wasn’t complaining. Marcus’ hands knew exactly where to touch her, where it would affect her the most. She didn’t miss him so much, as much as his extensive knowledge of what she did and didn’t like. Though those had grown a fair bit over the last few years. Biting down on his lower lip, she told him this. “I didn’t miss you. Just your tongue.” 

“Why would it be ironic? I would choose the ice. Death by fire is so… Horrible. I can’t even imagine the pain.”

“Well, yes. You’ve got a point there. Painful, but just so much more interesting than ice. in some places, people are already living in a world of ice, anyways, and yet no one lives under a roof of fire. Don’t you find that interesting, to say the least?”  

And one we can’t dare to break. 

Definitely not. Although it’s funny to think there’s people who have not a clue to what we’re referring. 

Darren reached into his wallet and dropped a hundred dollar bill on the bar. “Money talks, bullshit walks. People respect that,” he responded flippantly. “I’ll take the blame though.”

She glanced at the money with little disregard. “Well, that’s one way to make your point.” The drink arrived in minutes. “It’s interesting what people will do for money.” 

It’s fine. You don’t have to apologize.

Understood. It was wonderful meeting you either way. I’ll be on my way now. 

I’m sure one of my friends can lend me a few dollars. I’ll just ask around.

“Deal. Hey! You,” he yelled at the bartender. “Get the lady a drink.”

She whistled lowly as the bartender hopped to work. “Impressive. Seems like you’ve got some pull over these guys. I like a man in charge.” 

“Who doesn’t like a good drink? What do you want, whiskey? Beer? Something girly? Fuckin’ pick something.”

“Vodka on the rocks. And a slice of lime.” 

“Because I’m just such a fixer. What brings you around.”

“Oh, you know. Disease, famine, strife... Just kidding.” She smiled coldly and held up her drink. “Alcohol.”
