Get comfortable with sometimes having to be a bitch! Get comfortable with the fact that you will come across situations where your boundaries are in opposition to what another person wants. Get comfortable with the fact that it will bother them intensely that you’re not going along with their desires. Let yourself acknowledge that it may make you seem bitchy, or cold, but guess what’s worse? Not having a backbone. Get comfortable with the fact that you may be vindicated in the long run, people may see that you weren’t in the wrong, and they may apologize. Get comfortable with the fact that you may not be vindicated in the long run! And that’s also okay. It’s all okay. Standing your ground will always feel so much better, even if it doesn’t feel that way in the moment.
