best friend gets angry at some other girl calling the main character her best friend and goes “ACTUALLY I’M HER BEST FRIEND and it’s NOT YOU” in an angry guard dog possessive sort of way, best friend insists on buying the very expensive house that the mc is renting so she can give it to her as a gift, when best friend insists on paying mc for tutoring her since she says it’s only fair the mc very sincerely tells her that when she defended mc from getting expelled even when they weren’t that close that it meant everything to mc and was something more precious than money, when mc withdraws from school the best friend refuses to let anyone throw out mc’s stuff and won’t let anyone else sit next to her and sit in what used to be mc’s seat,

running at my friend at top speed while crossing a wooden bridge just because I knew the sound of my heeled boots would make the running sound a lot scarier, and watching him actually get so startled that he started running away is probably in my top 10 moments thank you

I was really upset that this horror book I was reading before turned out to not be very scary at all (and at some point as just actively making me more angry than afraid) but now this current horror book I'm reading is now actually creeping me out a bit and it's like NO WAIT DON'T DO THAT TO ME NOT LIKE THAT...
