It used to boggle my mind, as someone whose formative years were in post-9/11 hysteria, that the 70s had bombings, assassinations, airline hijackings, etc. left and right, and seemingly nobody cared. But I guess we’re basically back at it? The first time someone shot at Trump it felt like a news cycle for two weeks, then Kirk felt like one week, and Altman’s house getting Molotoved was more like a day or two.
