since I’m seeing lots of people who r copying this performance i just wanna post on tumblr that i started making work about bedrotting in 2024 and began performing in march of 2025. :-) the second iteration of the performance took place at the Victoria and Albert museum in London in Sep 2025… Rest is political and is a privilege. WHO gets to rest is political. Visibility… I could go on…I wont. Not interested in going viral but now i am interested in not having my Blackness erased from the canon especially when i am the origin point

thank you :))! this means a lot :) for a long time, and when i was making that piece especially... i was not enjoying my practice or art in general. lots of things and won't trauma dump here, but i am experiencing joy again and i am beyond grateful for that :)
