Since March I've been kind of obsessively watching University prep videos and I mean like obsessively as in I'm clicking on every single one that youtube recommends me whether or not I'm interested in it or not. I have watched a lot of these videos in the last few months because I'm kind of cramming that excitement that I think you're supposed to get in the last year of high school that I never got because I never thought I would actually end up going to a big university away from home, which is why I'm watching so many videos. Anyway I'm making this post for a specific reason. Which is to say it is very funny seeing what completely different worlds many of these YouTubers live in. Telling me not to bring my a Ninja icecream maker. Telling me the most effective way to redo my entire wardrobe. Telling me I'm not going to do any cooking so don't bring any PLATES because I'm going to be on a meal plan. Telling me that the number one most essential object that I will absolutely need is frat shoes. FRAT SHOES!!!! We live in very different worlds. My world does not apply to your world. I'm not even buying a meal plan. Anyway. It does mean that my new favorite line to say is: "I need to bring a mini cowboy hat because what if I get invited to a frat party and all of the girls are cowgirls and all the boys are cowboys" and you can replace cowboy hat with anything and cowboy/cowgirl with any ridiculously gendered noun. That line absolutely kills me everyday. What if all of the boys were cowboys and all of the girls were cowgirls. We live on completely different planets and I forget sometimes that people think like this. What if I get invited to a frat party and it's Ruse themed and all of the boys are Ruseboys and all of the girls are Rusegirls. Real line I said flatly to myself with absolutely nobody around while trying to figure out where I'm going to package her. That's the reason I made this post
