In short, the way Orson moves and presents himself is like that of someone in his early 20s, and if we accept that from vampires in fiction, then why not this freak.I can’t disagree with you that it’s creepy, but it’s equally weird to see Ariel’s father allowing his 16 year old daughter to marry some man she’s only known for three days. I originally thought Eric was between the age of 20 and 30, but Disney cleverly claimed off-screen he was 18. Alright then. Still an adult, though.All in all, I took the movie’s time period into consideration and decided to go with it.
