When I first met you I was curious about you. I didn’t know that I loved you but I knew I cared. The story you told me, I felt as if it were me experiencing it. My heart went out to you.

Then you came to visit and I grew even more curious. I asked about you often. My life was full and I believed that I didn’t deserve a friend. I was stuck in the belief that I would never have a friend.

Then I returned to the cabin. You were now in attendance. The night I took my first drug you were there. I really enjoyed talking with you and sitting close. As more nights like this happened I grew to love our time together.

Then we sat by the pool. We held hands and played with our feet in the water. We talked. We touched. The light was dim and the water warm. Other people were there but they weren’t my focus.

Afterwards I was afraid that it was a dream. That only I thought that the time was special. It took a third party to tell me, you thought it was amazing too.

You became my squish. I wanted to know you, to hold your hand, and to be around you. I was unsure I was worthy of such a friend. You reassured me I was.

Now every time we are together I don’t want it to end. When we are apart I think about you. I love to hear my phone say “Bing” cause I know it’s you.
