yeah dude the bubble is gonna burst any minute now and all the bad guys will lose everything and cry and walk into the ocean to pass on to the bowels of hell with guns to their heads and the meek shall inherit the earth as we were promised. and the best part is? we don't even have to do anything it will automatically happen by itself. and its totally going to happen any day now. yes i've been saying this for 6 straight years but i know it's coming and i literally don't have to do anything :)
We as a society should be creating more times and places where it is okay and accepted to scream really loudly. Sometimes you need to scream really really loudly but apparently that is not allowed. Together we can change this
trying to explain to dumbass tumblr users that saying they benefit from systemic oppression on a certain axis is not the same as invalidating every struggle theyve ever had in their entire life
average tumblr user reblogs this and says "lol I am a proud brick wall"

Shout out to Black women in folk music! Gotta be one of my favorite genres.

this pride month, remember: ralsei deltarune is transfem and kris deltarune is non-binary transfem. it's in the text
Whenever you say something, you are really saying two things:
The thing you're saying.
That that thing is worth saying.
That is, speech/writing has a cost to it, in the form of energy and time expended doing it, in the energy and time taken by others to listen to/read it, and the thing you are communicating is implied to be sufficiently valuable to worth that trade-off.
E.g. if you meet a woman and she says, "Hi, I'm Becky, I was born on a Thursday," it would be an odd experience because even if 1 applies, 2 clearly doesn't (unless you are running some kind of day-of-birth study or something ig). There is a hidden meaning of, "you should be aware of the weekday of my birth because it is important," that seems to make no sense.
And yet people will often defend something they have said on the basis of it being strictly true, which is unsatisfactory because it only justifies half of what was communicated by the act of saying it.
If Becky comes along to a queer event and says "Hi, I'm Becky, I'm AFAB," you have to understand that that is not just a neutral statement of fact, it also communicates something like this: "I am aware that if I looked and sounded the same but my sex assignment was different I would be treated differently. I am informing you of my sex assignment right now so that you treat me appropriately hereafter."
And that is just straight-up transmisogyny, both in displaying uncritical acceptance of how prevalent transmisogyny is in queer groups, and in demanding exemption from it. It sounds absurd on the face of it that a cis woman describing herself using entirely true statements can be doing transmisogyny, even in the absence of any transfeminine person or any mention of transfeminity at all. But it's true all the same.
And if you try telling Becky she shouldn't say that, she and most of the other people at the event will tell you "but it's true!", "she can describe herself how she likes!", "don't police how other people talk about themselves!", and so on. And people will look at you like you've lost your mind if you start claiming that Becky is abusing you by introducing herself in a manner that doesn't reference you at all.
I need to get out of here. I have to get out of here. I have really got to get out of here I need to leave I have to get out of here
It's crazy because I don't consider myself a person who goes to clubs. But then once in a blue moon I do and suddenly I feel the most alive and real I've felt in years. And then I get home and I'm like meh not really for me

sometimes i see an opinion i disagree with, and from a combination of wanting to keep up appearances, avoid flak, and cut to the heart of the issue, i draft a series of increasingly abstract responses, eventually culminating in typing out "falsehoods aren't true", which, in a perfect act of autofellatio, deletes itself

because i'm obnoxious i wanted to run some additional numbers on this to see just how much of an impact sans specifically had on this. the total amount of m/m in the undertale tag is 20,917 fics, with the amount of f/f sitting at the bottom with only 5,926 fics. if i sort the tag by fics tagged m/m, sans/sans comprises 43% of the fics, sans/papyrus comprises 14%, and sans/reader comprises 9%. those are the three most written-for ships in that tag. needless to say, that's already pretty bleak. but it gets bleaker.
if i sort the tag instead by f/f, what are the three most written-for ships? alphys/undyne, predictably, is at the top, comprising 51% of the tag. the second is, inexplicably, sans/reader, which weighs in at 23%. and last is toriel/asgore, making up 11% of the tag. (in case you're wondering, sans/sans makes up 7%.)
so basically,
3 hours of sleep = i hate people who laugh
0 ours of sleep = waouw πΌπΌπΌπΌπ

It really is crazy the way anybody ever managed to push the idea that there is a real, tangible "transmasc erasure". If you look up books, comics, movies, plays, etc. starring a trans protagonist pretty much every single time they are going to be trans masc or TME nonbinary. You have some notable exceptions like Nevada, or Detransition Baby, but pretty much every one of those is going to be BY a transfem author telling our own stories. But they will swear that transmascs are being erased in media compared to trans women so you will go through a list of the top 50 trans books and top 10 trans films for pride and the top 8 queer comic lists and they will pretty much all be about a transmasc experience and you will be like. okay so I reviewed 60 pieces of media and 5 of them were interested in representing trans women and the rest were transmasc or TME nb what do you mean by erasure and they will look you in the eye and say with a full chest "I am jealous that you guys get more blood libel than us"
watching cowboy bebop for the first time. 90s anime with non-binary hacker character Ed that (as I've seen so far) never is subject to transphobia or anything, just treated as "genderless hacker gremlin". Almost 3 decades old show. imagine being a tme trans kid and getting to see yourself in an anime as a character who simply exists as they are and isn't constantly the butt of transphobic jokes.
now imagine you're a tma trans kid watching the same show, where in a later episode Spike meets three "crossdressing prostitutes" who are extremely caricaturized, transmysogenistic characters that just exist to be the punchline of "Spike was looking for a Julianna and someone said "yeah she hangs out over there" but what if instead of the woman he's looking for, from the back it looks like her but they turn around and it's a man in a wig with lipstick and stubble talking stereotypically and soliciting Spike for sex!" that's the rep you get as a tma.
