A couple of OC doodles! Top one is Venus Valentina (Vinny or Vin), a lil potential pirate OC I've been mulling over. My key words so far are "big brawny tall awkward barbarian lady" ahaha. I drew her with a harpoon but since then, I feel she favours blunt weapons. Bottom one is a variant on good old Lea - a BNHA incarnation. She's going to be a villain who's swayed to the hero side by All Might. Yes, here is Lea wearing a lil All Might onesie - she's a secret fangirl even before she becomes a hero! 😂 (her quirk will be "aphrodisiac" btw - touch one person with one hand, and another person with the other, and they'll fall in love - the effect increased if one already had feelings for the other! So she just goes around causing chaos... It doesn't work on herself, but nobody knows that, so she's fooled a lot of people that way haha)

I just got through some new Scraperfoils! I got gold, silver, white and… glow in the dark 😂 I also got some new cutting tools, so this is just me testing them on one of the white boards. For some reason Splat is always a go-to…

So, lots of people seem to really like these, but sometimes I wonder, do many people even know wtf they actually are??

If you don’t, they’re small boards coated with black, that you can scrape away to show whatever colour is underneath. These “engraving arts” (that’s what they’re actually called, lol in my day they were called Scraperfoils) are usually pre-printed with a picture, so they’re like a more advanced colouring book.

Back when I was younger, this is the sort of thing your grandma would buy you, lol. I used to really like them, they’re quite relaxing to do.

You can draw (very gently) onto a blank board, or, I've just found out (lol) you can transfer a drawing with graphite paper. Jeez, that would save a lot of time!

So a few months back, I got lucky and found a pack of the rainbow ones in our equivalent of the dollar store, thought it’d be fun to try for Jojos. And then for some reason, it ended up the most popular thing on my art blog!

I found myself enjoying making these, so thought I’d try to do more. I have some more ideas on who to do, as well, so let’s see what comes out…
