While they're on either ship (could be canon or swap) they work together on the taumoeba, it's mostly both of the Graces and Adrian doing the work since Simon² are engineers/pilot, there's only so much they can help.

TIME TRAVEL AU
So basically bloodymary are living happy and dandy on Erid for a couple of years and then BOOM they are on earth before Ryland goes to space. Including coltland twins, meaning past! Ryland and future! Ryland (let's call him Ry) are existing at the same time. Let's also imagine maybe they appear on set or in Colt or Ryland's home
So Colt learns his twin is forced on a suicide mission and then gets a partner in space somehow?? Who comes from a different universe??
Because Ry is older than current Ryland and Colt, what if he gets mistaken for Courtland due to his older features (which confuses the fuck out of the past! twins because hey? Didn't he die during a prison riot??)
Now there's the moral dilemma after all the fun timey whimey stuff, now Ryland knows about Project Hail Mary, and now so does Colt. Now he has time to actually think about this mission, unlike the 3 hours Ry got.
Ryland sees that his future self is happy and with a loving partner, and he saved the stars. But Colt isn't there alongside Ry, he learns about the amnesia and how he forgot about his brothers until arriving on Erid. He could warn DuBois and Shapiro about the astrophage and the explosion, but there's no guarantee they would help Rocky or not even find and save Simon out of that submarine. Both would be left to die.
Colt has to imagine his twin forgetting about him and being shot up into the stars never to be seen again, how much grief Ry's Colt has felt, not just for the loss of his twin but also the chance of the Project not even succeeding.
Now, Ry and Simon are just trying to get home. They were supposed to be babysitting Rocky and Adrian's pebbles before they turned up here. Rocky is not going to be amused that his best friend went on an adventure without him, especially seeing his twin brother.
Unfortunately, here Ry still has memory gaps about his brothers, due to Stratt only sending a picture of himself?? (it was Colt, he later learned) he didn't have anything to go off of. So he's certainly happy to bridge all the gaps in his brain about his family finally. But now, he's reminded about his own Colt, if he has any children, if he's even alive, he's missed out on nearly 30-35 years of his brother's life.
And then Courtland shows up because what is happening? He was watching Colt and Ryland due to having some down time, when he saw an older Ry just appear out of thin air. What the fuck is that about?
I also enjoy the imagine of Eridian jewellery/clothing on Ry so he looks absolutely ethereal.
I feel like Simon would be gobsmacked and befuddled that Ryland is not the ideal omega on earth, and that the "ideal" omega is dainty, small and quiet.
Omegas on Eden are strong, secondary genders fall in the background due to the Quiet Rapture, all genders need to be strong and resilient to survive. Omegas probably try to be the strongest among their peers due to bias still existing with the elders that lived before the Quiet Rapture (Stereotypes exist even in space sadly). However, Simon has only grown up with (the small amount of) omegas that needed to be strong to keep the Last Tree alive and with Eden missions, so his 'ideal' of an omega is exactly that.
Ryland, now, enters stage left, and it's like Simon has met his perfect partner. He's strong-willed, strong with both emotional and physical, brave (even if Ry doesn't agree with that), plus he literally saved the stars??? Ryland is probably shocked by this due to the discrimination he probably faced in the scientific community, with his out-spoken personality and ideas.
Do you also think Simon's courting would be influenced with his mutations? Like the Eden upbringing is clashing with the monster now part of him. Both have different ideas of how to court the omega who is Ryland Grace. Again with Ry being oblivious to the courting happening, just thinking that Simon is becoming more friendly lmao
Also I think Ryland would be the first omega/second gender Simon smells for a while, I feel like the C.O.I would have scent-blockers on both the criminal and the station, meaning the biological need of smell is non-existent for the prisoners. They cannot smell their fellow people, emotions or anything, it's kinda like sensory deprivation due to it being so important in a/b/o universe.
So Bloodymary developing in the 18 months Colt cut everyone out.
Imagine the angst, Ryland finally falling in love with someone while grieving the relationship with his brother, he has no one to talk to about his feelings about Simon due to having no/limited friends because of being outcasted by the science community, plus if Colt changed his phone number, he couldn't even send voicemails to pretend he's talking to his brother or hoping Colt would eventually listen to his voicemails.
If the relationship starts around the 6-8 month mark of the avoidance, that give 12-10 months of dating for Simon and Ryland. So a somewhat serious relationship and Colt missed it. He missed his brother in the stages of crushing and starting his first relationship.
Or or!! Bloodmary is already developed or developing, and was planning to tell Colt (I'm gonna say they are not close close in this so he doesn’t know) but his accident happened the day of, or the day before they planned telling him, and then because he avoided Ryland, he doesn't know he's been in a serious relationship for 2 years

With yesterday's post, I also started to wonder how the people in Eden court omegas, they can't give them food due to the limited amount, and cannot give nesting items also because of the limited resources. Unless the alphas give the omegas their own rations and bedding.
Plus if omegas are scarce, I feel like the alphas courting them would have to up their game majorly because there's only so many omegas. Plus with the cult-like ideologies, I feel like courting is thought to be somewhat stereotypical old-school courting, which they can't do because of the limited resources and people.
If they possibly start doing planned courting/mating between the strongest alpha and omega to ensure the children will be strong for the aftermath of the quiet rapture.
Plus I just think of when Simon decides to court Grace, it's just so different than Earth's way of courting so Grace doesn't know what he's doing until a while later.
Do you think on Eden omegas would be worshipped due to them being able to carry life? Or would they be seen as a problem due to creating new mouths to feed with limited resources.
I only wonder cause I keep imagining Simon worshipping Ryland, alpha and omega stuff lmao
Okay so now imagine, Ryland and Rocky are on earth again, we don't know how again, but ka-BOOM, Simon is now here alongside them.
Someone spots the saviour of the earth, alongside a rock creature..alien something, and a scary looking guy with fish teeth on the side of his cheek. Either Simon is a convict on earth and people know about him and what he did or he is still from Eden so he's unknown, who knows. It is on the news because it's literally the Ryland Grace back on earth????
Colt and Court see their brother on the news and is like 'what the fuck??' Especially Court if Simon is a convict on earth, what is their younger brother doing with a convict.
Edit - they're probably also on the run from the governments because we got a fish man AND a rock alien, which wouldn't want to experiment on them, humanity certainly wants to. We've also got a human who has gone into space the furthest than any human before, they'd treat him like Félicette most likely. :P
Imagine if Colt was in the ship alongside Ryland, snuck on or something last minute. Ryland couldn't find the bed he was in so he has absolute no idea that another person is on board apart from him and his dead crewmates.
Skip to meeting Rocky or Rock moving in, and that is when Colt wakes up. He wakes up and finds his twin, unable to remember him and speaking to an alien. What is his life?
Maybe if it's before Rocky moves in, Ryland is in the tunnel when Colt wakes up. He walks around the messy ship, he can't find his brother or any of the crew so he's a tinsy bit worried. Then he finds it, the whiteboard with Ryland's struggles to remember things. Ryland then comes back to the ship and gets scared, because who wouldn't when there's something with your face walking around.

I keep thinking about Ryland and Rocky breaking into Colt's house, somehow they are on earth, I don't know why.
Colt just finds his supposed late brother in his home (and an alien?!?) probably eating. Either coming home from stuntwork or waking up to crashes and noises in the night. If it is during the night, he thinks this is his usual dream/nightmare of his brother returning to his life, only to wake up to realise it wasn't real and he's still half of a whole with the other half still missing.
He goes insane when he realises his brother is finally real and here.
Thought of a crossover with two doctors, first time drawing either of these men.

I don't know why Dennis is in Japan when the meteor hit, but I like the idea of him being a MS2/3, so when he goes to the Pitt, no one knows he was a victim on the natural disaster unless they look at his medical chart.
I also like to think that he met the main cast at the beach, and the only reason he was alive was from his very very broken Japanese and pure luck.
Also he lost his eye, cus I thought it'd be cool for him in the Pitt to have his 'eye' stabbed and be like "oh that was my favourite contact" and just takes it out. That sounds so dumb lmao, also like ot says he got stabbed by the King of Spades, practically dying as Arisu wins against Queen of Hearts, Mira. I imagine his eye got stabbed by debris in the wreckage of the disaster, like how Heiya's leg was amputated.
Also for some reason Chishiya is in the PTMC, don't ask, I don't know. I also like to imagine that him and Dennis was in the Jack of Hearts game together. Obviously I know Denny can't be in the Jack of Hearts game AND King of Clubs at the same time sadly </3
Only reason I thought of this crossover was literally Chishiya + Dennis = both doctors, and Dennis in AIB universe. (*^^*)

So after the events of TBP2, Finn, Gwen and Ernesto goes back home and wakes up way in the past before the kidnappings. It's a basic time travel fic but with Ernesto in it! So basically those three would be sneaking around with Robin being confused on why Finney is hanging around his younger brother more than he used to.
Or when they're driving home, they turn up in Denver but everything is in the past but them in the car. So kinda like back the future but they can't joke about that as I'm pretty sure TBP2 is based in 1982 when back to the future came out in 1985 💔💔
