Community space in Sequoia, with a café which serves coffee or bubble tea and the locals fairs in the courtyard. Here u can find:

a community space where you can hang out with your teen sims, throw a party with a keg of juice, listen to live music, play board games;

a community garden where you can plant something, make bouquets and sell them right away, get some bugs and pet them, and, if necessary, set up a board and hold a lecture;

a market where you can sell your junk, carve gnomes out of wood, or, as an alternative, bring your fashion-savvy sim and peddle your looks to everyone around you;

an art vernissage where you can draw, sculpt with clay, recycle trash, make furniture using that eco stuff. Kids can draw and do origami. There's a sales table, so you can craft and sell it right away.

The grill restaurant "Anchorpoint Abode" has been located right in the middle of the Anchorpoint Marina for decades, passed down from father to son. It's ideally situated between the calm and tranquil ocean and the bustling historic city center. Best of all, it serves the finest grilled dishes in an incredibly cozy atmosphere!

The Amusement Park is located right in the middle of Anchorpoint Pier. It's perfect for family outings and picnics.

Come to the Oceanarium near Anchorpoint Pier and dive into the underwater world! Here you'll find the rarest and most mysterious inhabitants of the deep sea and more. The Oceanarium is a wonderful place for family fun and exploring new depths.

The festival fair at Anchorpoint Wharf is a favorite spot for locals and tourists alike. Besides a wide variety of entertainment, it also hosts workshops and educational courses for adults and children.

Mourningvale neighborhood

so happy I've finished Ravenwood rebuild!

I've built a sort of castle/estate on the site of the Eternity club, where I want to house a vampire clan.

I've been thinking for a long time about keeping it as a club or other public space, but damn, these ghosts that spawn in droves are getting on my nerves, so I'm thinking of keeping this lot residential.

For the interior, I want to create a hall for balls and feasts, dungeons with coffins, and towers with stunning views.

For non-occult sims, it will be a landmark like Bran Castle in Romania, and for vampires, a dinner that comes home.

The Cozy Casket Houses

I built two houses here: one for a witch who loves brewing potions and knitting, with a shop on the ground floor, and a retail stand in the garden.

The second option is for the family of vampire and werewolve, which I've already mentioned in the post about Fort Lucan building.

More lore !!

I’m not at all an expert on The Sims franchise. I only started playing The Sims with The Sims 4 (shortly before the base game became free). It’s only recently that I’ve really become interested in the lores of this franchise. Even though I’ve never been interested in the theme of Royalty in the game, it was only when I learned that Titania and Oberon Summerdream were the rulers of the fairies and that Mara was the Fairy Queen of Magic Town in The Sims 2: Apartment Life, that I thought it was a shame EAxis hadn’t included the royalty system in the “Enchanted by Nature” pack. From what I understand, it’s now possible with this new DLC. Also during my researches, I obviously learned about Princess Cordelia and her omnipresence in The Sims 4. (Her descents literally live at Tartosa) So when I saw her on trailer thumbnail, I was really happy and hyped to learn more about her with this new pack, since her story is totally in the DLC’s theme. All I know about her is from this video, and now, the trailer.

Cross pack or Recycling ?

While watching the trailer, I couldn’t help but notice how many elements were reused from older DLCs. - Get famous with the reputation system and the sword duel animation (also Batuu ? Never played with this pack) - For rent with the blackmail - The Willow Creek streetlights, really? And there are surely other things I haven’t mentioned.

CAS & BUILDBUY

For the CAS part I’m absolutely thrilled with all the attires I saw in the trailer. I love everything !! The european part are pretty “mainstream” but beautiful. (Bridgerton etc…) The wide selection of hairstyles and jewelry is truly delightful. I really LOVE it !!!! The West African part are BEAUTIFUL! I’m Afro Caribbean and I really enjoy learning about different cultures around the world, especially from the African Continent. If I’m correct, I’ve often seen this kind of outfit worn at Yoruba weddings and Nigerian important events. (they should already have been integrated into “my wedding stories”) Overall, EAxis has improved significantly with hairstyles. I’m pretty happy that’s there so much elaborated coily hairstyles (It’s mainstream too, but much less seen outside of West African/Black “medias”) I personally love cowries and jewelry in my hair too so I can’t wait to test them on my simself. I’m not an expert on the history and the meanings of West African attires so I can’t talk for the concerned people but since EAxis collaborated with the Pan African Gaming Group, the same groupe who helped for the “West African Update”, I think I can say that the outfits are pretty accurate. A big thanks to them ! For the BUILDBUY items, I have globally the same opinion then for the CAS catalog. I just don’t understand some choices made for this pack.

Only one neighborhood ? Seriously ?

As mentioned above, except for the lore, I wasn’t initially interested in the royalty theme. But when I heard rumors saying that it would be about a modern-day royalty pack with a world inspired by West Africa and 3 deferents dynasties, I thought: FINALLY! A DLC with a world centered on African royalty and dynasties would be perfect as the first EVER West African world for the sims 4. So when I saw the trailer and realized that only one neighborhood were “West African”, plus that the DLC was on Cordelia, I was like: “WTF?” I just don’t understand why EAxis waited THIS pack on Cordelia to share West African attires and buildbuy items (if we forget the earlier free additions) Ondarion’s three neighborhoods are based on three different regions and cultures: - Dambele is likely based on Western African countries. - Verdemar is possibly based on the Greek islands, or the Azores and Madeira autonomous regions of Portugal. It is also possibly based on Central America and the Caribbean due to the Portuguese-named lots and its close connection to pirates. - Bellacorde is based on the Mediterranean countries of Spain, Italy, and Southern France. (UPDATED) Geographically, it’s don’t even make sense. I don’t like Windenburg who’s like that too, but at least ALL the neighborhoods are inspired by close countries. They could have made a whole West African (Nigerian based) world while maintaining the theme of royalty and dynasty. This one, with only new clues about Cordelia, since she is a traveler They also could have made a remake of Al Simhara from The Sims 3: World Adventure if they really wanted an African world to fit with the sims lore and the presence of Cordelia in Mediterranean (Would have worked perfectly with the inspirations of Thebe -> Thebe myth and greek translation of the Ouaset, an antic town of Egypt) As long as any of them is not just another safari only world. And don’t get me wrong ! YES I’m happy that there more West African items, it’s was about time. I am delighted by the vast selection. And YES I know that it’s just a game but EAxis, themselves, say that they work to give representation to all. Apart from New Zealand and the Kiwi people, who were really disrespected with Gibbi Point. (more here & here) The most recent non European Worlds were really good with pretty clear inspirations (Ciudad Enamorada = Mexico city, Tomarang = Thailand etc.) Even though I really like this music, The Amaarea song in simlish was purely an attempt to show that “Hey! There is indeed West African influence in this pack” But just on the surface In the end, Africa is still the only continent that’s don’t have a country represented as a world in the game…

Conclusion

I really love the aesthetic of this pack but I’m disappointed by the recycled gameplay and the choices made for this new world. However, I’m hyped by the lore elements this pack will bring. Waiting for the gameplay trailer!

GIBBI POINT MARAE

Ohinemutu the Living Maori Village, Rotorua, North Island, New Zealand

I’m not from New Zealand or Polynesian so I can’t speak for the locals but I like it when the Sims worlds respect as much as possible the regions of the world that inspire them.

So when I read the accounts of the Kiwi People on their opinions and disappointments with this world (here, here, here - read the tags and comments) I can only conclude that EAxis did them dirty

No traditional attires, no new dances, no new music station, the "US architecture", not even a traditional neighborhood like the Ohinemutu Village…

Just a description of the world with a vague inspiration from Maori myths, the Takahe renamed Plumbird and a mention saying that the natives are descents of the Kahananui family from Sulani.

Point Gibbi is only the second Oceanian Inspired world and Sulani (2019) who was inspired by the Hawaiian Islands had more Polynesian representations (Still not enough, I suppose, but it clearly shows that there is a decline in attention paid to the representation of Polynesian communities. And there were already very few of them)

I’m not a builder at all so PLEASE, Sims 4 Builders, take exemple from @saileachy and other Kiwi simmers.

Give Gibbi Point the Aotearoa/New Zealand face we deserve 😭🙏🏼

If there are any Polynesians especially Kiwis who would like to correct me, please do!
