“Yea..I haven’t exactly been around the last few years..” he sighed softly. “I’ve kinda been at Eichen for the last five years..”

“I’m centuries old my memory is a little vague.”

“You should still tell him. This is what his mother did and why they probably kept you around.” 

“My curse was broken because Stiles was not born with magic. They didn’t keep me around I promised to protect the family that’s why I am around still.”

“You can’t keep something like that from him. This is his mother..” 

“It’s part of what killed her. I mean magic can bring her back but there’s a reason normal mortals die when they use it to much.”

“S..so what brings you back to Beacon Hills? I thought you were gone..after mom..” he had to stop, thinking about his mother made him blame himself.

“I was always here. You remember the cat you have the black one Stiles feeds tuna not salmon to?”

He blushed a bit, dropping his gaze. “Thank you..you may be the first person to think so..”

“You’re welcome.” He smiled looking down with a smile.

“I think I’ve seen you in this form once when I was younger..when I was like 6..”

“Your mother is going to roll over in her grave but, You’ve grown to be a fine young man.”

Lydia looked at the book then at him with wide eyes. “You have not given his this yet?” 

“I can’t give it to him. I promised his mother, I would not let him become a witch.”

“I would not exactly call it impressed.” She said only to look up at him curiously. “What do you mean? He could have magic?” 

“Awww... Well he hasn’t found this.” Salem hold out an old book, “It’s his mother’s grimore.”

Lydia was impressed with the meal as it was. Before she even took a bite it was impressive to see he cooked this. “It shows.” 

“So are you impressed?” Salem asked with a devious smirk as he sat down, “You know Stiles could have magic if he wanted.”

“You know how I said I can’t cook? well that means I don’t have much food in the house.”
