Hello!

This blog will be about my little doll collection. I started properly collecting dolls in 2023 and thought it would be fun to share my findings. I mainly collect G1 Monster High dolls, but also some 90s/00s Barbies, Ever After High and Winx Club dolls. And if I don't forget to take before-and-after pictures I might show how I fix up my dolls. It's nothing groundbreaking, but hey, I know how to get rid of glue seepage and that's something.

(Quick side-note: English is not my first language, so if my grammar or wording sounds off I apologise in advance :))

On the bright side, now seems to be a great time to start collecting Rainbow High dolls! Lots of people are selling them at flea markets now, in great condition too.

And these three which didn't fit on the shelf.^^' (Love Priscilla, her hair is so vibrant! And her eye colour so confusing.)

I just saw that they're 73€ for me. Without shipping. That would be around 85$. As much as I want them, I can't justify that price.

Bye bye my gay boys. I'll be watching some unboxing of them in a week and just quietly be jealous of all the people that were able to get (and afford) them.

The Barbies (with the exception of the Fashionista Raquelle) are all for my mother. She collects Barbies as well.^^ Someone was selling their entire Rainbow High collection, so I grabbed a few... ahem. And I found more Bratz! I'm especially excited about the Rock Angelz, now I have three of them (and a dublicate Sasha).

Luckily because it was only pencil I was able to remove it with an eraser. I was a bit worried about her lips, but whatever had been used to paint them came off easily with water and soap.

Other than that she's such a cute doll! I can't wait to redo my display so she can be with my other g3 dolls.^^ I fixed the hair and now it's nice and soft, but I can't redo her original hairstyle. I know it's super simple, but I'm so bad at styling hair.^^' It's really uneven in the front and at some point I have to try again, but for now I'll just leave it like this.

Oh and she also smells really nice. I know this sounds weird, but she smells exactly like a notebook I had as a child.^^'

I hope I can get Robecca soon as well. Let's hope her hair will be in better condition.^^'

Glam Magic Enchantix aka Look At Them Wrong And They Fall Apart. I'm not kidding. I had them since I was eight and I'm surprised they haven't completely fallen apart. The ribbons on their clothes are fraying which made the velcro fall off, the wire in some of their limbs broke, super filigree plastic accessoires broke, Bloom's hand would fall off if I hadn't used glue on it... the list goes on. The hair is beautiful though. I love these so much, they're gorgeous, but not very well constructed. Sometimes I wonder if they were made with children in mind.

Not to mention they are expensive. I'm still missing Tecna, but the prices online are... something. I always thought G1 Monster High dolls were filigree and expensive, but these girls are something else.

This is all the hair she has left. The front strand of her mane broke off completely.

It confused me, because I only ever heard of polypropylene disintegrating, but never nylon. And up to this point I thought all g3 ponies had nylon hair. Turns out there are actually a few g3 ponies with poly hair and Romperooni seems to be one of them. Now that she's clean I can actually tell she has poly. At first I thought it was just messy.

I haven't found Monster High dolls in a while and I found six this time! I have replacement hands for Frankie and Howleen, but not for Spectra. I thought about leaving her behind, but she has most of her stuff and was cheap, so I got her anyways. I also found another Sparkleworks, this time the variant with the magnet in her hoof though. And I got my first g3 baby ponies!
