I don’t think this part is being talked about enough. Just Look at them. Look at their faces. This is right after Erza comes in and stops them from basically killing each other. They both stop.Natsu’s eyes go back to normal. Grays not all angry and wild. All because Erza stops them. They see her, and they see the way that she is hurt. And they see her crying. And that stops them. You know why? Because they can see her pain. They see her tears, and the last thing either of them want to do is hurt her. She’s such a huge part in each of their lives. Shes the mother that they didn’t have, the mother that has helped them no matter what. To them, she is the strongest person they know. She is invincible in their eyes. Someone who would never fall. Yet here she is. Crying. Begging for them to stop. She is in pain, and it hurts them. Because the one person who had always been strong. The one person who they look up to for strength, is now looking up to them in pain. And that’s what makes them stop.
