I've noticed this happening here on Tumblr and TikTok, and I don't wanna start anything, but I keep seeing this and felt the need to say something: Can we please not refer to TSBS discord as a cult?

I wanna put this out there now, I'm one of the mods on the server. I'm also one of the thumbnail artists for TSAMS, but I was a regular member for at least half a year before any of that. I've had my own personal experience with toxic discord servers in the past. TSBS can be chaotic, and even a little stressful, at times, but at no point has it ever been like a cult. Especially if you stop and compare it to how actual cults operate I'm sure most of the people who use the term aren't intending this, but doing so causes more harm than they realize. Not only does it cause the word to be watered down and lose meaning, but it's very disheartening for people like me who's seen first hand how much the mods genuinely want to make the server a fun place for everyone. I've seen how negatively some of them have been impacted mentally and emotionally by fandom drama. We aren't perfect. We don't always handle situations in the best manner, but we're always trying to do better
