No work for the next two days because of the hurricane threat (even though RVA appears to not really be in any danger) means I get lots of time to work on this test knit for @originalknitter. Currently inked. I don’t want to say I’m getting “back into” fountain pens, but I’m going to make an attempt. Mostly because I’m taking my last two classes this semester so lots more writing than usual.

Seriously in love with everything about these socks. (The first one isn't quite done yet but for a whole bunch of reasons I decided to start the second one now.)

FO Friday, the morning after. 🙂 I don't normally block my finished socks, but I am gifting these and I wanted to give them a wash to soften up the yarn a bit. And I'm in a hurry to get them to dry, thus, blockers.

Because now I always need to have some stripey socks in progress. 🙃 These are not self-striping and I'm planning to make them knee socks. Watch this space!

My Match & Move shawl is complete! I could not be happier with it. Of course, I won't be able to wear it for another few months since summer is being especially brutal in RVA this year, but maybe I'll take it to work and get some use in my super air conditioned office.

No, this is not a pregnancy announcement. 😨 But a friend of mine is expecting a new addition so that means I get to knit some baby stuff! This is the first of a little pair of booties and it is so cute, I just can't even. Except I haven't spent any time around babies so I have no idea if it's the right size so I'm going to take it to work today and ask some people who would know. Pattern is "Blue Steps" which is free on Ravelry and yarn is some leftover hand-dyed.

@blackshirtnerd and I had a pretty crazy weekend but the best part was finally going to the Udvar-Hazy Center. Really amazing to see all the air and space history and I can't wait to get back there in the future.

Since I don't know that many other knitters in my daily life, it's pretty rare for me to be gifted knits. This cup coozie was made for my by a friend who says I helped her rediscover knitting. It may be simple but I love it and use it every chance I get, especially since that's a good excuse for more coffee!

Now that the Exploration Station is done, I'm busting to get my sample vanilla socks finished so I can get the pattern published! The first one was completed earlier this week and I'm 30 rows into the leg of the second, so maybe it will be done early next week?

Guess what I just finished!? Don't worry, I'll do some glamour shots but first it needs a bath and block.
