🥚Just a tiny bit of a pain, something to help for the time being. After all, they knew that she would get what she needs once they fulfilled their end of their promise. The vine near their ear, wiggled slightly as if nodding. At their words, they seemed to hum softly, the sound lightly reverberating within her 'knight's head. Their presence once again felt like a hug, like they were resting against their back and their chin was on her head, even though they weren't even there. "Oh~? Is that right? I'm impressed. But than again I am always impressed by your talent..." The voice purred softly, coiling and curling around the mercenary with their sickly sweet tone, soft and alluring as she spoke up again. "In fact, since you're sure you'll bring me two souls... I think you deserve an even bigger reward for your efforts..."

The vines curling a bit tighter, the thorns digging in slightly to add a bit more pressure, to 'hurt' them more. Give them a stronger dose so to speak as a vine slid its way through the hole that had been chipped in the obsidian, the tendril gently stroking along their cheek and tipping their chin up ever so slightly. "Once you're 'freed', what you desire will be given. As promised. And you know I always uphold my promises~"

"I'm the best. I always have been," They gloat. Nothing but true pride hides behind that sentence. They're the best at their job. And the dizzying high of the strange touch only compells them further. The hum. The comfort. The overwhelming feeling of not being alone. Never really being alone at all. "They'd be useful. Better to get them on our side then let them get in the way."

They dont question the head tilting. They're obedient. "You do. That's why I like working for you." They admit. There's nothing wrong with this. This was good. They had a place here. A loyal sword. An attack dog. Some strange thing deep in her chest opens its eyes. It becomes aware and starts to stare back at the invading force in her skull. Like it does every time.

🥚 Of course they would always welcome them back, after all, no one could truly satisfy the mercenary’s deepest desire like she could. A soft purr like noise could have been heard within their head, alluring, sweet- tempting even. Like the apple in the garden. Their touch would have cooled them, relieve them of the heat and stickiness they must feel right now. After all, she was their friend. And friends help each other out do they not? “Is that right? I’m sorry to hear that… you know I’m always happy to help cure your boredom…~” the voice cooed, sweet and honeyed; dangerous and careful, after all… there was a catch their kindness. As there often was with power, but they knew that she would listen whenever they asked. After their ‘bishop’, their ‘knight’ was their favourite piece. Her desires, her interests were arguably the most delicious out of their other followers. Not to mention, she knew that the other could easily get things done.

In place of their actual arms, vines slowly began to creep up; light and gentle as they slid along the other’s shoulders, coiling around their arms comfortably. One vine in particular loosely climbed up around their neck to curl over their ear as if to better communicate her master’s wishes. The voice speaking up softly like a gentle hiss in their ear. “All you need to do… is promise to bring others to me… so that they too can be given the opportunity like you…”

They should fight back. They should really do anything to resist it, but when the temptation came calling they were nothing but weak. She pokes something they try to ignore. She listens. She understands. When things get dull and Punz is at wits end? She's always there with the next fix for their high chasing. Everything was always so dull. It took years for Punz to even being to healthily feed their desire for something more. Something bloody. Something alive. She knew. They hum briefly, thinking but not having any real strings of thought.

She tilts her head as the vines wrap up her arms. They hurt, in some way she couldn't put to words. She's sure this isn't what real pain feels like but it's the closest she thinks she'll feel. It's nice, somehow. Strangely comforting. They lean into the vine near their ear and look towards it. "Always. It's the least I can do. I can probably get two," she agrees with a smile. "Having them on our side would make things more fun."

The voice was like a whisper in their ear, like the wind that rustles one’s hair; the way it seemed to curl around the mercenary like a snake. “How is my favourite little chaos bringer~?” The voice drawled smoothly, had they actually been there; it would have been like two arms sliding over their shoulders and a weight settling against their back.

Punz leans their head back against the obsidian. It's heated up along with the air around them and moister clings to their skin like it's nothing. They've ripped the sleeves off their undershirt and thrown their hoodie by their feet. Clothes could be fixed. The dizziness and exhaustion is less of an issue than air but with the hole Purpled has chipped into the obsidian it's starting to look like they won't suffocate at least.

The voice echoes in their head in a way that feels almost soothing. Close. Deadly. A trap. The thing that fills the void the best. She's always going to end up back here. It wraps around her shoulders like a friend. "Hot. Bored."
