So, about that Woolhaven expansion...

The main entrance to Khazad-dûm was the Great Gates in Dimrill Dale, east of the Misty Mountains. During the Second Age, it was decided to open a way to the west side of the Silvertine, which would facilitate contact and cooperation with the Elven realm of Hollin. Thus were the Doors of Durin made.

They were fashioned as flush doors, the jambs invisible to the eye, and matched so perfectly with the mountain rock that when closed the Doors could not be seen. The slabs were made by Narvi out of a grey material stronger than stone, and inlaid by Celebrimbor with ithildin, which could only be seen in starlight and moonlight.

Hmm, not very happy with this - the values in it are shocking and the contrast is really bad - but I did learn some tricks that I can try for getting it done more effectively next time.

In the hope that this can help offset the costs of repairing our room where the ceiling so kindly fell in, this is an app that has been developed to do the following:

Explore colour mixing on an interactive wheel

Compare pigments and paint properties

Experiment without wasting paint

Learn colour relationships through hands-on discovery

Partly, I built it because I wanted a better way to understand my own set of colours and what counted as warm or cool from the various manufacturers.

Waterwheel is part colour wheel, part palette manager, and part learning tool for watercolour artists. I've got weird things in it like the lists of compounds that create fugitive colours, a database of the most common watercolour manufacturers and their offerings, and all sorts of things. I've also emulated a Claude Glass in it.
