Skin sticky Missing something but can’t turn back Hand is sweaty, scared to hold yours Don’t ever reach out, but don’t stop thinking about me either Sky is blue, wind in the hair, fresh air and the scent of your fingers Want to see you rub your eyes after waking up, one last time to hear your sing that song you liked last september Said it makes you want to cry Then hummed along to the tune Why is it that distance seems to move one closer Why is that it is only I that feels it?It’s deep in my bones, in the middle of my cells It’s best to not haunt each other at all I said it but I didn’t mean it, haunt me It’s best to stare into heaven
