EVIL NEVER DIES.

Michael has spent his entire life under the control of other people. He has never had any sort of free will, everything from the way he dresses to his daily schedule being controlled by those around him. It is what he has become used to, but it doesn't mean he likes it. Which is why when Hannibal gave him the chance to take control of his life and escape from Smith's Grove, he took it immediately, knowing fully well he will continue to be chased and tracked down until the day they get him back in that dank cell. Not that he has any plans of letting it happen. He thinks even Hannibal won't allow it ... why would he, why would anyone want to get rid of their guard dog, of a (mostly) blank slate they can twist and form into whatever painting they want. Only an idiot, of course-- and Hannibal is the smartest man Michael has ever met.

Smart enough to get Michael to murder someone for him without ever directly asking for it. Michael is aware this is manipulation, but he continues to allow it because it is in his benefit, as well. Hannibal feeds him, provides a roof and clean clothes and all the comforts one could ask for. Not only that ... but the dab at his cheek, and the praise given to him, makes him feel alive. Real. Makes his belly stir and fire lick between his thighs. Baby blue and pale, scarred white address the shorter man with such intensity, with volcanic desire. There is confusion too, having never navigated such complex feelings before. He glances away, looking at the dead man, still so fresh and still leaking blood. Michael seems to be beaming, clearly enjoying being called a good boy and the high of a murder. He hasn't killed in a while -- a while for a man like him, anyway.
