you know something that really freaks me out about liberal queer theory is the idea that cis women and transwomen go through the exact same struggles. like, no; as cis women we will never know what it’s like to experience transphobia or sex dysphoria, but as transwomen, you will never know what it’s like to be born, raised, socialised and treated as a woman in society your entire life. i don’t see how this is hard to understand? i don’t see why we can’t have seperate discussions about our experiences without erasing either?
