We met up with some friends at a lake outside Mt. Saint Helens today for a chaotic little walk with their wee bebes and then swung by their place to see their new farm additions. And the last time we went there, we ended up getting mildly turned around on the back country roads in the area.

There's road construction going on in front of the house aka right outside my home office so I foresee today going well. But two of my hoyas are in bloom 🕺I propagated the one on the left from my grandma's plant, and this is the first time it's bloomed :')
I have a four day weekend coming up, and the plan was to go hang out with a friend and do some hardcore gardening (i bring the muscles) and baking and canning. But it's looking like she has to cancel and ugh, I needed this trip 🥲
I randomly stopped drinking last September which is whatever, I go through these phases of cutting out random things because they're no longer appealing (coffee has also suffered this fate but we're back together). Then I started to gamify it in the way I do with everything. And now it's June, and I don't miss it but! I do miss a tasty beverage in the summer, relaxing in the hammock and reading with my little adult sippy cup. So now I'm on this quest to find an adequate tasty beverage alternative, and it's becoming more frantic as we're looking at a handful of 90 degree days this weekend.

I'm re-reading a book I had vague recollections of enjoying twenty years ago. And oh my god, do I hate twenty year old me right now, it's such a slog! What was I thinking? But then I hate current me because I'm incapable of dnf'ing a book so touche younger me.
