The two first quarter-final games have shown that the KH Energa Toruń players are well prepared for the playoffs. The team beat JKH GKS Jastrzębie twice during the away games. Mateusz Studziński, who had replaced the injured Julius Pohjanoksa early in the first meeting, did a great job. On Sunday he had saved all the 49 shots! "We had a lot of luck" - he said humbly. | Credits: x / x

Sport’s player of the game gear is extra af
all DEL teams for the 2021-2022 season, pt. 1
According to Urheilucast-podcast, the Finnish KHL players are kind of being held hostage by their teams in Russia.
Some teams had basically taken their passports and threatened to make them pay 66% of their entire year’s salary if they tried to leave in the middle of playoffs and their contract season because of the Russian attack on Ukraine.
Salavat’s Markus Granlund though managed to leave the team today, but the other Finns on the team stayed. Severstal’s Estonian player Robert Rooba said he is not going to be playing in the playoffs but he still remains under contract with the team until April 30th due to “the things that would happen” if he left.
Fuck this.
if you are still active, do you know if any of the leagues have reacted to the situation in ukraine?
hello, i am still somewhat active yup
only thing i've seen on here (or anywhere else tbh) was this post by @juhollamago!
@extraliga-related had some info
I can tell Finnish Ice Hockey Association is asking Russia to be excluded from upcoming World Champs and WJC to be moved out of Russia.
Aivis Kalnins, a Latvian KHL reporter, also has a list of other countries Hockey Associations asking for the same thing.
Swedish association on the other hand didn't dare to have an opinion.
And as of rn, Jokerit are selling most of their players elsewhere, which with Liiga transfer deadline has made this morning a mayhem.
Liiga's HC TPS also refused to celebrate their win on Saturday online due to Ukraine.
@rememberx added the Swiss league, which I believe were on Kalnins list of countries.
Finland also asked for excluding Belarus.
Technically, not a league related one, but Jatkoaika, the Finnish hockey page, decided to end their KHL news following (with the exception of announcing Finnish player transfers to other leagues, and teams leaving the league).
Regarding the aforementioned list: in a shared statement the Hockey Associations of Germany, Switzerland, Latvia, Norway, Great Britain, Poland, Lithuania and Estonia are calling for the immediate suspension of;
Russian & Belarusian Hockey Federations from IIHF
Russian & Belarusian representatives in IIHF organizations
Russian & Belarusian members of the IIHF and related committees
all IIHF cooperation with KHL
So... same content as those with an individual approach.
Czech Hockey Federation also published the results of their meeting.

Bratislava Capitals had to release some terrible news 6 days after the incident. Thoughts are with his family, friends & teammates. 🖤
