Three Reasons Why You May Suck On Standardized Tests and The WAY to GET BETTER!

You are in luck. I will try to explain WHY you do not do well on standardized tests, and I know how to help you do better.

Do you really want to know why?  I have three answers for you:

1. SCHOOL IS SCHOOL. TIMED MULTIPLE CHOICE TESTS ARE A DIFFERENT ANIMAL.

Your grades usually reflect more than just timed, multiple choice tests. Even if you have ALL A’s, you have likely been graded on papers, homework, participation. In a few classes, teachers give you purely objective tests. So, it is NOT that you didn’t earn your grades. Instead, you just didn’t earn grades in the same manner. You need to realize that you will need to practice being graded on timed, multiple choice tests. You will need to up your game in terms of HOW to get this done. 2. YOU EITHER FORGOT OR NEVER LEARNED THE STUFF ON THE ACT OR SAT.

Seriously. Very few students actually remember exact formulas from freshman year Geometry or Algebra. Very few English teachers actually teach the 15 most heavily tested grammar rules that you need to ace the grammar questions on the ACT.  To do well on standardized tests, you need to review, even JUST A LITTLE BIT WILL HELP!  You really don’t have any time to waste.  Why wouldn’t you do this? Every point may result in getting into a better college, or getting into college with more merit money.
