Social Media Specialist + Freelance Copywriting

Compensation is $25-30/hr based on experience, 5-10 hrs a week. This is a 1099 contractor position with room to grow.
A blended role to assist with the digital marketing and social media efforts in our virtual agency.
With a focus on small business branding and marketing, the sky is the limit when it comes to creativity. This position is responsible for content creation, as well as the successful execution of the day to day operation of our social media strategy. Must have superior communication skills, excellent grammar, attention to detail, be a self-starter with the ability to work remotely and disciplined to meet deadlines.
RAC agency mixes modern media and traditional advertising techniques. With our growth, we are building turn-key solutions for small businesses which includes Email Marketing, E-commerce, Social Media Branding and Marketing, Print & Trade Show Collateral, Photography, Video Production and more. We have a large array of clients. Industries include national and local retail, local professional services, food and beverage, book authors, national sporting events and national non-profits.
Must attend weekly team status report meetings via virtual calls, Monday's at 1pm PST
Must be able to have client virtual meetings to discuss client needs, strategy and implementation
Must have social media management and engagement experience utilizing native platform capabilities and tools like Sprout Social or Later.
Must be able to effectively report weekly and monthly findings, make recommendations for improvements
Must have good writing skills and the ability to write social content, blogs and other digital content catered to specific markets using a brands tone and voice
Must be organized and have excellent communication skills
Work with the design team to create professional, engaging, exciting and/or educational communications for client social media channels; including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok
Responding to all direct messages from social media followers in accordance with our internal policies
Initiating reports and analyzing marketing efforts; presenting results to the management team
Contributing to the creation and execution of digital and social ad strategy development
Initiating monthly reporting on social media management and performance; present results
Implementing digital audits, analyzing results, delivering initial findings and recommends strategies
Analyzing metrics across multiple social channels and recommends ways to optimize performance
Executing research related to the social media platform, advertising updates, new tools, best practices and new applications
Auditing online campaigns, identifying key findings and recommending alternative approaches
Scheduling and management of social media on a regular basis, including weekends as needed
Creation of and updating content to website blogs via Wordpress
Develop, consult, advise and implement external and internal communication strategies, methods, and tactics in support of business unit goals and objectives
Write and edit a variety of external and internal communications including content for newsletters, websites, social media and video
Responsible for managing database of digital media content and files, organizing files and updating naming conventions
Attend weekly team status report meetings via conference calls, Monday's at 1pm PST
Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties)
Bachelor's Degree communications, community relations, public relations, journalism, or a related field Required
2+ years related professional experience in communications, public relations, and/or marketing
2+ years experience using social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,
LinkedIn and YouTube (required)
2+ years experience using social media management software (Sprout Social, Later, or equivalent) (required)
A good understanding of web analytics and keyword optimization
Familiar with Organic SEO and SEM
Proficient in Word Press & HTML; (not required)
Knowledge in Adobe Illustrator or Canva; (not required)
Sound judgment, creativity, resourcefulness and results oriented
Ability to multitask and prioritize duties
Ability to work well under pressure and deliver high-quality results
Must have the ability to complete tasks and responsibilities independently and/or with limited or no supervision
Must have superior written and verbal communication skills (required)
