Concerning recent media releases...
Having recently seen Backrooms, Iron Lung and now The Amazing Digital Circus: Last Act in theaters recently I can fully say I feel like I've taken the time to breathe air and exhale a bit of trepidation that I've been feeling about popular media.
It's my own special kind of inner darkness that I must contend with, now that these things are in the world in front of audiences. It summons up something within that I remember from the first time I walked out of The Matrix at the same theater I just watched TADC:LA at.
I had this notion that the world would be different, feel different. Be on a different track. Instead things went how they went, and I suppose that's what they were always going to be like. It wasn't as if I could see much of this coming in the ensuing nearly three decades hence, but I felt like it would at least put some jolts into the common collective brains and it never seemed like that occurred.
Seeing these bits of independent media get the popularity they are experiencing now has me cautiously hopeful, but honestly reserved as it feels cyclical more than not. I'll be watching to see how the bigger houses view this success, how they react, what gets room to grow now, but honestly I don't think we're going to see much from the mainstream.
TADC:LA was a beautiful experience, I'm glad I went to the theater to see it on a big screen. Thank you to all those involved, it's rare that something has me in tears that much.
(edited for formatting, honestly you guys why even let me format in post writing if you're just going to vomit it onto my feed and make me go back to fix it :/ )

Cishet peoples' feelings is collateral damage at best
Buddy if "let allies attend and participate in pride" reads to you as "what if excluding them makes them feel bad :(" and not "Shit Is So Fucking Hard Right Now, We Are Going To Flood The Streets In So Much Unity And Love That Fuckers Think Twice Before Screwing With Any Of Us" then I'm not sure what to tell you

words of wisdom from wikipedia this evening
much to consider
I feel like thereās a piece of wisdom here related to the fact that digging down will make that excavatorās situation worse, but it can still ādigā sideways to create a ramp and fill in the hole at the same time
Something something assess the situation something something put your efforts into a positive direction⦠Profit?
The operational wisdom is 'Don't dig more hole.'
But if you're capable of digging, as that is what you've been practicing your efforts towards, then use the digging to indeed create a ramp. Then you are digging a ramp and filling a hole, not digging more hole. Healing efforts are as cumulative as negative ones.

i havenāt heard the word ācyberstalkingā in a long time but it used to be a recognizably bad thing to stalk someone online, to try to dig up everything you can on them, follow their every move online, obsessively post about them, barrage them with messages, block evade, etc - but now itās just normalized and seen as something totallyĀ āokā to do if the person in question isĀ āproblematicā in some way - like the same people who sayĀ āif your partner does this runā will turn around and do the same thing to a stranger online they dont even know and they donāt even think twice - itās abuse, itās harassment⦠just stop it
The thought occurs that this has become an ordinary part of the systems in place because those systems exist (or want to eventually exist) to 'cyberstalk' us all, at least potentially, at all times.
