I think I also figured out my conundrum with being drawn towards service jobs, when most people including my family assumed I would take withdrawn isolated positions where I didn’t have to interact with people. I am spiritually fulfilled by teaching kids, assisting in special ed, doing camps and daycare - I just get so emotionally exhausted and burnt out and I spent all this time feeling like I was just an evil freak and I was lying to myself. Honestly it turns out I like “helping people” and being in positions and careers that are focused on OTHER people and their pain and problems - death investigation and postmortem examinations were so fulfilling for me to do in the labs because I felt like I was connecting with the diseased individual, getting to know them and understand what happened to them. I really do like being in service to others but please god it needs to be in SMALL DOSES and mostly behind the scenes instead of directly in the fray
