Successful Ways to Improve Your Score in PTE Speaking
We all know, PTE Academic Examination is one of the most significant assessments for students who desire to study abroad. Writing, Speaking, Listening, and Reading are the sections in the PTE mock test. Speaking is an essential subject, and students must prepare thoroughly before taking the exam. Speak with confidence and in a manner that is understandable, not too fast or too sluggish. Also, do not keep repeating the exact sentences/ words in speaking. Also, instead of pausing halfway through a statement and restarting, finish the continued sentence first and then begin a new sentence. Make sure you are starting your conversation when the recording starts. Speaking and writing are mixed in PTE Academic. The speaking & writing section has a total time limit of 77-99 minutes. Additionally, if you are silent for more than 3 seconds, the recording will immediately cease, and the candidate will not be able to record again. The following are the tasks for the speaking section:
Read aloud: You will provide a text, and the candidate must read it aloud. Read clearly and in a tone of voice. It's best to raise your voice at the start and lower it at the end. Practice reading different periodicals and newspapers to learn how to pronounce new words. It is critical to practice. The majority of language proficiency exams evaluate a person's ability to grasp and comprehend academic subjects. As a result, the exams must include everyday speech as a criterion for evaluation. The reading aloud segment assesses a candidate's natural speech, focusing on the flow of the language.
Repeat Sentences: You will be given a recording to listen to and then repeat the sentence. You'll have 15 seconds to answer. Listen carefully to the audio, make a list of essential keywords, and begin speaking when the clip has ended. In this task, the candidate must understand the meaning of all or most of the words spoken to reconstruct it in more or fewer words in the exact order. What matters in this test is your ability to comprehend a more significant number of words and a larger group of syllables in the language.
Describe the Image: You will be given an image to describe in-depth.
Determine whether the chart is a pie chart or a bar chart, or a line chart. The pie chart shows data slices, the line chart show a timeline, and the bar chart shows comparisons. You have 40 seconds to describe and complete it. Do not stop in the middle of a sentence. These tasks are aimed at evaluating the test-intellectual taker's abilities. As a result, a candidate must have at least rudimentary knowledge of the subject. You may be asked to deal with numerous types of data in various formats during the test, such as tabular format, bar graphs, pie charts, regional maps, and so on. It does not necessarily imply that you must be able to comprehend every information. Instead, strive to make the information you've been provided as essential as possible.
Retell Lecture: You will be given a lecture and then be required to retell it in your own words. You will get a total of 40 seconds to complete this task. Make a list of the keywords so you can remember them. Try to grasp the context and meaning of the topic. Retell the case using three or four of the best sentences. Listening to a native English speaker several times will help you understand the content and fluency. Otherwise, you can make use of the numerous resources (movies, news, television shows, etc.) at your disposal. If you listen to professional narrators, you can easily pick up on their tones. If you listen to these tones carefully and for an extended period, they can quickly become ingrained in your knowledge, and they can ultimately improve your language overall. Make mental notes of the changes in pitch, their voices, the emphasis placed on specific words and phrases, and the pitch change on the crucial syllable as you listen to native speakers.
Answer short Question: You are given the question and must react in a single word. You have only 10 seconds to finish each question in this task. Try and practice answering short questions.
