The End days are upon us, and the Four Horsemen have been summoned!!
I'm excited to announce that the fanmerch for the Darksiders Series are now available to buy on my Ko-fi store. I can't thank everyone enough for their support and most importantly patience throughout my first time endeavor in the pin making world, but I will say it a thousand times! Thank you guys so much for your continued support, this was a personal project of mine ever since last year and it is surreal to see it come to fruition through investing a lot of time, money and resources but the end result is well worth it. As a wise man once said, the wisdom and experience from this is invaluable, as well as the people that saw this to the end! I hope to do more in the future, but in the meantime thank you again! I can't believe I didn't see these sooner! Thank you so much for supporting me, so happy to see a fellow Darksiders fan especially for the best Horsemen (In my opinion). So glad it got to you safely and again THANK YOU!!
I have some notes, and I would love to chat about this with ya'll!!
I'd like to start with the positive aspects first and then move on to my critiques...
POSITIVES
It's actually happening! Like, we're getting the game! It's been 15 years since the first, and it's about time we get a climactic finale.
So, first things first, I love the fact that we're going to get to play all four of them. I did some reading on what to expect on THQ's page, which you can read here. The fact that each horseman is going to have their own style and skill/weapons is awesome! More than I could ever ask for!
The silhouettes of Fury, Strife, and Death look great! And I hope we can see more of them in the future (knowing us fans and our luck, that's probably gonna happing in another 2 years).
Rampage is back! Thank god! Did that poor baby dirty in the 3rd game, so I hope there's gameplay with horseback combat with all of them.
THQ's got big shoes to fill with this game, so I hope they take a lot of time making sure it'll blow us all away.
CRITIQUES
Now, I don't know how long this trailer was in production. I don't know how far along they've gotten. And a lot could change.
So if you don't agree with me on this, that's fine. But please don't be mean about it... This is just my opinion
I will be completely transparent in saying that I didn't like War's character model at all in that trailer (and don't even get me started on Ruin).
Art styles change, especially with ongoing games or any media for that matter. I've seen it in Halo. I've seen it in LoZ.
But War is the poster boy for the whole damn series, and I've seen his model go from badass to caveman so fast! I noticed it when Darksiders III came out, and even though he had very little screen time, it was still jarring. Then, in Genesis, Airship Syndicate redeemed his model pretty well. Hopefully, you guys know what I mean.
This is the War I know...
Joe Madureira was a HEAVY contributor to War's design, and his unique style is what made War so recognizable.
When the trailer dropped, I was so excited, as Darksiders was a huge inspiration for me as an artist. So, when I saw War's design, I must admit, my face scrunched in judgment...because...
This doesn't look like War to me.
Now I'm not going to tell professional artists to do their job or say that this is the worst thing I've ever seen. But this isn't War.
The proportions of his face are difficult to look at in a positive light. After a lot of study, I realized that his nose and mouth had been raised higher on his face. On top of that, his cheekbones also had been raised, which makes his ever-so-strong jaw look almost hollow. The forehead was also angled in a way that makes his eyes weak and his brow not as determined as seen prior.
Another pet peeve I have, even though it's minor, is that his facial scars are wrong/not even present. At least, in the first game, we can clearly see he has a scar on his upper left lip, while there are smaller ones littering his chin, indicating his fighting spirit.
MY ATTEMPT/ CONCLUSION
I wanted to test this theory and adjust his face in a way that resembled his reference material provided by Joe Mad and his video game counterpart.

I'm no professional, and I'm not saying I'm better than anyone. Hell, I'm not even saying that this looks better than the trailer, but I hope that by sharing this, if you were feeling like something was off with his design, then you're not alone.
There is no release date for Darksiders 4, and I think that's great. The devs have all the time in the world to make this game amazing.
Agree with all of this, I'm so excited about the new game...but I hope his face doesn't look like the trailers. Now your edit, that's the face I remember and know! Gods your version is so much better, this is my boi, what have they done to his face?!

IT WAS SO GOOD! Def solidifies my love for Darksiders, and especially after getting that teaser I am stoked to see what new stuff I can create. In the meantime, made a great display for the Horsemen pins and some pics with the book itself (photo quality is crappy, forgive)

So it started 4 ish years ago, I finished the old PlayStation game soul reaver and needed a new game to play. I was on YouTube and started seeing clips from Darksiders 1 and two...I got intrigued! Had the wii u at this point so I found both games at my local shop and started with playing Darksiders 1. Since then I have been obsessed, the story was fantastic, the gameplay was epic hack and slash, and WAR became my fixation! I love the second and Death is awesome, but War is just my fav! I have finished Darksiders Genesis with my brother and Darksiders 3 I am almost done, but I have taken a hiatus on that game from how frustrating it is to beat abraxis😂🤣. I want to make more merch besides the pins, but wanna wait for the new game first before I try.
As for Siva, funny story.
When I finished the first game, believe it or not I originally was gonna make a hybrid maker oc, a smaller woman with a long braid and a fascination for hammers. Not my first rodeo making ocs for fandoms, but the longer I thought a story for her, the more I realized the maker angle would not work. I was starting the game remnant at this time and had been watching Ghibli/Falling skies show and I suddenly started sketching. All of a sudden this short, Scrappy character started to take shape. And as I started designing, the more her character traits started to come to me, ones that fits much better with the story I had in mind. Someone who lost everything when the apocalypse started, but even then with every experience maintained her sense of hope. I wanted Siva to represent the idea of instead of just laying down and accepting the cards given to you, to make your own path with sheer will and determination. She is a person that is driven to survive, the desire to fight out of spite for the legions of hell that seek to kill every human in sight. She is that lil voice that tells you who cares, I'm not going down without a fight.
And let's be real, no one is unafraid of the end of the world, but a quote from Mark Twain also helped inspire. Courage is not the absence of fear, it is acting in spite of it. No matter how small you are, or how hopeless everything seems, the worst thing to do is let the despair take you. Yes she isn't powerful, not invincible, and she is certainly not the epitome of right choices...but she is human, and that tenacity to survive despite the odds is what kept her going. (Mayhaps a lil inspired by Lord of the rings with the hobbits)

Three years after drawing my all time favorite Castlevania piece, I thought it was high time to Redo it after improving my style throughout those years! From my original penned piece from high school, to my first attempt at digital art, compared to Three years experience, I can proudly say that Lillies for Tepes is finally Complete!!!!
Their love is not only compelling, its a perfect example of both tragedy and hope. While Tragic that they were separated both by Death and their views on Humanity, their love was shown to transcend both differences and beyond even death itself. Therein lies the hope that while Dracula gave himself to the painful sorrow after her wrongful Death, Lisa achieved something no human truly had accomplished....she made the man Vlad Tepes see the good in the world before that, and in the end that is what gave him the awakening needed.

Hiya, sorry I didn't answer quickly, been prepping for my sister's wedding, but I def have something to throw my two cents in!
Keres does have an alternative armor, compared to the outfit she currently wears which is her outcast garb, her true armor is called the Archaic Bone armor. It is something she wore at the height of the nephilim horde but after being left for dead she hid her armor away in hopes to use it when needed. She dons the armor after the apocalypse and the events of the first game with some alterations! Here is what it looked like!

Had alot of stuff to do, but was able to crank out a digital piece combining two days! A quote from one of my fav angels, Uriel of the hellguard and her last words to Abbadon, someone she once respected and possibly loved...now calling him out for his betrayal. Early on in the story (and Rp scene) sometimes Cinder babysits Fury and Strife while Death and War go out to do hunting for the day.
This was what Death came back to. Cinder reading to the children, and Fury an Strife getting along more then usual.

Finally Finished! Did a poll a couple months ago of which Demon slayer Character to draw next and the Water Hashira himself won by a landslide! It is true what he said then…he isn’t disliked.😂🤣. The water was definitely a first for me, wanted to keep it stylized with a touch of my own twists, but man he is very pretty to draw. Will be available as a print and sticker very soon so stay tuned!
