Finding your calling is about finding your voice - what cuts over all the din and drone of the other seven-billion-plus people on earth. The tune and tone that only you can bring to the table. Calling isn't something you choose; its something you unearth. You excavate. You dig out. And you discover.

Work is rearranging the raw material of God's creation in such a way that it helps the world in general, and people in particular, thrive and flourish

David Bowie said something I really liked. I don't know if he said it often, but its the kind of thing that should get tattooed on your leg. He said that creativity is 'one of the few human endeavors where you can crash your airplane and walk away from it.' Your mistakes dont have to bring you down, not by any means. But Bowie's observation has an even deeper level. Creative failures can feel like near-death experiences, and surviving them can create a sense of liberation

I love times of manifestation. I love it when God is right in my face, speaking into everything He can. But for every time of manifestation, there is a season of hiddenness, where God seems to move away from us, He is trying to draw us into His presence. Manifestation takes place in our reality; hiddenness happens in His. Hiddenness draws us into a new place in the Spirit

But there is a difference between curing and healing and I believe the church is called to the slow and difficult work of healing. We are called to enter into one another's pain, anoint it as holy, and stick around no matter the outcome... The thing about healing, as opposed to curing, is that it is relational. It takes time. It is inefficient, like a meandering river. Rarely does healing follow straight or well that path. Really does it conform to our expectations or resolve in a timely manner. Walking with someone through grief, or through the process of reconciliacion, requires patience, presence, and a willingness to wonder, to take the scenic route.

Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity, and change

To be filled with the spirit means simply that the Christian fully surrenders life and will to the spirit... The meaning of "filled" is not to "pour into a passive container" but to "take possession of the mind". When we invite spirit to fill us, the spirit's power grips our loves with this kind of strength and passion.

Living your God-given life involves remaining faithful to your true self. It entails distinguishing your true self from the demands and voices around you, and discerning the unique vision, calling and mission the Father has given to you.

.. You can only serve God to the degree you let Him serve you. You can only minister to the depth that you allow God to minister to you... God fills us first, and then He invites us to fill the earth.

I have a point of view; you have a point of view. But God has view.
