Perseus followed after her and they both got to see what the resistance really was. It appeared to be more like a man cave. And only 3 members in sight? Either everyone else is off somewhere or this resistance is very small. Perseus is just a bit confused.

Goal sighed dreamily. “You sound as if you’ve been through a lot. I’m so happy we could join your resistance. Do you have anything you need us to do? A secret mission?”

Persi needed a minute to figure out what he just said, then figured they could at least listen to what he has to say. Maybe Goal would agree to her second surgery after.

“Okay.” Goal approached the crate and was about to climb in when a little creature came scuttling out of the junk. And then she saw even more small shapes moving in the crate, one even jumping upwards pecking at her fingers. With a yelp, she stumbled backward and crashed against the door with a loud clang.

Persi checked to see what startled her to see the small horde of junk crabs in the crate.

“I’m okay, I was just surprised,” Goal said in hushed tones. “I’m so sorry, Persi.”

“But Garlef came here to try and let us in. This has to be the resistance base.” It was gonna be a bit hard to convince these two this wasn’t the resistance. Not many people have secret knocks after all.

Eager to make up for her blunder Goal raised her hand and knocked the special rhythm they had heard from Garlef.

"We even know one of the Organon's evil plans and want to fight against it. We'll be a big help in the resistance, promise."

“Exactly!” Goal squealed with joy. “It’s going to be amazing! Just like in the stories I used to read.”

“Well he said not too … but it wouldn’t be the worst thing to follow him right?” Perseus knew it would go against Garlef’s wishes, but knowing where the resistance was would be a really good thing. If Garlef can’t convince the others to let them in then they can just make their own case.

Goal giggled and squeezed Perseus’ hand. “Yes, let’s go. I bet he won’t even notice us.”

“Ok stay quiet and stay behind me.” Perseus led the two and stayed a safe distance away as the followed Garlef so he wouldn’t notice them. It seems they reached the end of the line though when Garlef had entered an alleyway and did a specific knock on a door then soon went inside.

Goal nodded and inched closer to the door. “Should we go in?” she whispered back. “I remember the way he knocked.” Of course this wasn’t exactly hard to remember and she wasn’t an idiot who got distracted by other noises or something.

“Oh, Mr. Garlef. You must be so brave to fight the Organon,” Goal tells him without paying attention to his question. Her eyes are wide and her admiring smile is genuine. “We want to join you. Please, you have to let us help.”

Goal continued to smile unwaveringly which seemed to unnerve Garlef a bit as he was really not used to female attention. He cleared his throat and did his best to look impressive (not very successfully). “Hm, I wanted to find a worthy opponent for rock, paper, scissors today. But it seems I’m out of luck anyway. I’ll go and meet the others in our hideout.”

The burly man continued wiping glasses and spread the dirt on them more evenly. “Yes, a resistance. If you want to call it that. Garlef, upstairs, is part of their little group but if you ask me they’re nothing but a joke. They can clamor about “Death to the Organon” all they want, but there’s not even an Organon presence on the Floating Black Market and if there was they’d be horribly outclassed anyway.”

Persi had to stop and think for a moment for his next course of action. This side of Goal doesn't seem to be easy to convince of anything either but she does still seem to be the easiest to work with. And when thought about more having a resistance on their side would be really good to work with.

The world was confusing. But also exciting and new. Goal didn’t know where she was or how she got here, but she knew the best way to deal with any situation was by thinking positively. So she looked around until she spotted a somewhat familiar face and beamed.
