He was not sure whether to be offended in his lady's stead, or just be impressed that the name of the Dawn Brigade was recognized by anyone in an Outrealm. He settled on the former, narrowing his eyes at the woman.
"They won us a war. The Priestess' guidance and visions saw us through. She is divinely inspired. Lord Sothe is never seen until he strikes. If any armor would repel blows, it would be Lady Meg's. Sir Edward, Sir Leonardo, and Sir Nolan are paragons of martial skill. I don't think that any battle your troupe could win, the Brigade could not!"
"I’ve been the tactician for a small troupe of warriors that dueled them. We were lucky to come out alive, much less win."
"I see... I am certain the Dawn Brigade would be able to win a battle there, though I will not say as much for myself. Armor is nothing to the Priestess' magic, and the truest arrow will not touch Lord Sothe."
Norris held the Dawn Brigade in high regards, to say the least.
"Plenty of fire and demons. Plenty. And the armor is harder than brimstone or any metal you’ve ever met. Castle Apotheosis is home to warriors capable of making the gods piss themselves."
His eyes widened, and he looked back to his trusty steel bow and arrows. He shook his head slowly.
"How would you know this? I do not think gods are so easily intimidated," he argued. "I've seen death, and that castle did not look it."
"Hell."
"I, erm, I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean. I somewhat doubt it was hell. There was a dire lack of fire, brimstone, and demons."

So. Shiny Pokemon. Based on what I believe Soren’s team would be like in a Pokemon AU (not fully, of course), minus the bonus.

"For Ashera’s sake, learn to aim a bow!"
Norris had elected to take an odd job in an Outrealm for some extra money by instructing a fairly lacking village militia on war tactics, intended for fighting against the Risen. Actually, it was downright sad. The swordsmen had less of an idea how to swing a sword than even Norris did, the mages’ spells fizzled, and the archers couldn’t shoot a human-sized target from 60 paces. Norris could only really help with the last.
"Alright, now you need to focus on the target. Is your arrow lined up with it? No, it’s not. I’m not even looking down your line of fire and I can tell you’re a good four feet off of it. Aim for your right - your other right. Not so far!"
Norris facepalmed as the arrow flew over the target’s head. It embedded itself in a stack of hay bales stacked high just because of this problem.

I just love how Pope Francis gets it. He understands the basic message of the Bible: love and forgiveness is offered for all mankind (and apparently aliens), not just those that fit within "the rules" laid out by the Old Testament. All that has to be done is ask, and God will bestow it.
