Protect Black Children

Full Disclosure : I am a white woman. There are many parts about racism that disturb me but, as a former teacher, the one thing I really wanted to do was fight for the right of black children to be children. White people and white supremacy strip away the innocence of black children and that robs them of so much throughout their entire lives and I just can’t abide by that. I have this blog set to post the same message throughout the day to remind everyone, especially black children, that they are valuable and worthy of protection and love and respect. And they deserve a childhood and the freedom to grow out of it into a full life. I don’t want to center myself in this discussion but I feel like it’s important to know where the blog comes from.
