RT Quaife Engineering Ltd produce many precision engineered components originating from round steel bar which requires sawing to length prior to the machining process. They had used for many years a bandsaw supplied by Prosaw and they decided to turn to Prosaw again to upgrade their sawing facility. Prosaw supplied them with a LX250AE fully automatic bandsaw meeting all their cutting needs.

The World of Stainless Steel 2015 event brought together some of the largest names in the supply of machine tools and consumables at the Prosaw Technical Centre in Kettering, Northamptonshire. 

Developments in the processing of stainless steel bar in recent years were a key motivation for staging a dedicated show focused on these advancements. Prosaw, displayed their Carbide Circular Saw, the CS150S/N, which processes 5" diameter 17/4PH Bar in under 50 seconds.

Prosaw's in house technical design team came up with a solution for cutting through heat exchanger tube bundles that were three metres in diameter. There were no standard products that offered a solution suitable for the application. HCS-3000 was created, the perfect band saw for drastically reducing recycling times of oilfield heat exchangers.
