So for whatever reason, I never updated after 10 months on T.
Turns out I didn't die! I'll be 18 months on T on the 20th of February and I'll be 8 months post op on the 13th. I can post chest pictures later I suppose. All most people notice at this point it hair growth and I'm no exception. I have been using minoxidil and I can say that it probably works haha.
Also at this point my beard is about 6 weeks old or so.

Not the best photos in the world, but I'm 10 months on T, with about 2.5 weeks of growth or so. I'm planning on growing it out while i'm recovering from top surgery until mid July.
For guys who have had top surgery
When did you feel like you did prior to surgery? Just in terms of pain and mobility? I know I can't work out until at least 6 weeks post op, but I'm just wondering when I can expect to "feel better" so to speak.
10 Days Post Op and I'm finally updating!
I had top surgery on June 13th with Dr. Garramone and I feel like its probably time to update on how I'm feeling and give a break down of the recovery process so far.
The first week with your compression bandages and whatnot sucks. Its uncomfortable and you can't move well and its very boring. Just take your pain pills and other meds and read a book. It'll be fine. I wasn't in too much actual pain though. I took my pain pills for the first 3 or 4 days as scheduled and then just took them periodically if I was really uncomfortable or just going nuts.
Then I got my drains out and I went home!
I've been home for three days now and its not so bad. My chest is really sore and I can't lift anything heavy even if I wasn't supposed to be restricting myself. Its not really actively hurting except when I first wake up. Then I walk around a bit and I feel fine except for the occasional twinge if I move too suddenly or strain myself too much.
My nipples are terrifying. They look like they're supposed to at this point (I'll post pictures of everything tomorrow when I change the bandages) but they freak me out.
All in all, I'm just laying around waiting to be better so I can do fun things.
About 9.5 months on T or so. I also am having top surgery in less than two weeks! I still haven't quite grasped that its happening so soon. Anyway, if anyone is getting surgery with Garramone on or around the 13th of June, let me know!

I have a top surgery date!
So apparently I'm getting top surgery with Dr. Garramone on June 13th! I'm incredibly excited about it. I had originally called hoping for a date in August, but the only ones available were after school started back, or a cancellation they had just gotten in for the 13th. Its very soon, but I can't wait!

My Name Change is Official!
So today I filed my name change at the courthouse and its all done! As of April 5th, 2013, my legal name is Andrew Michael. In my county you don't have to have a judge sign off on your order, just the clerk of court, so it was an easier process than in some places. I'll be mailed a copy of my court order this afternoon, so hopefully I'll get it on Monday and I can go to Social Security, the DMV, my school, and my work and get all my big stuff changed over on Wednesday.
Name Change Update
My name change process is almost done! I'm incredibly excited as I'm filing my name change this Friday at 10am. It feels awesome to be almost done with the whole thing and finally be able to use my ID.

I'm a touch over 7 months and wanted to do a basic update. I let my facial hair grow out for a bit (while obviously keeping my neckbeard in check) and I'm happy with where its at. I definitely feel like by my one year it'll be at almost full beardish status. I generally keep it trimmed at like a 2 setting so its not bushy or anything.
All in all, I'm just enjoying having high school boy facial hair at 20 years old and being one of the thousands of transguys who sport crappy facial hair because I can finally fucking grow something.

I cut my hair tonight and thought it might be fun to make a comparison post. I find that different haircuts can really effect how masculine someone is perceived, so these are all with a pretty short buzz.
The first one is me at about 3 weeks on T, and the second is me at just over six months.
On a side note, my hairline has definitely receded slightly, but its not to a point that I'm worried about it, and I really like it as it looks much more masculine now.

Shitty facial hair FTW
So I decided a few days ago to not shave my face at all until my official six months mark so I could see what I could grow in. It's getting pretty intense and patchy and gross and I love it. I'll take actual pictures (maybe even with a dedicated camera!) and post them then.
Side note: My girlfriend agreed before I started T that I was entitled to two months of shitty/douchey facial hair before I had to shave and wait for it grow in enough to look decent and presentable. I think I'm dipping into it now, but hopefully in two months it'll be reasonably thick enough to be able to hang on to!

The Tyron2 site is finally ready for orders!
I don't know if I'm the only one who frequently checks up on the Tyron2 project, but they're finally back to shipping out prosthetics. Apparently the long delay was due to problems getting the stp function to work, so the phase 3 won't be stp compatible, but it still looks awesome.
