For the dog who got me through the hardest days of my life. For the dog who was with me for all the best days too.

For the dog who helped shaped my love for getting outside. The dog I followed down every trail, chased so many sunsets and everything in between.

Thank you, Xander. I’ll miss you for the rest of my life. But I’ll keep adventuring because of you and for you.

I ran into an old friend at Whatcom Falls yesterday and I finally had my camera with me. I don’t know if this is the same owl that I had the most magical interaction with last summer but it was the exact same area. I regularly see her watching the dogs and I wander alongside the creek. 🦉
