Project "Hey Steam Fandom"

So here’s what you might have missed:

• Ryuu had to be euthanized after a harrowing two week battle of end stage FIV. The vet that worked with us with his bills now wants them all paid off ASAP. We also had to pay to euthanize and cremate him. That’s never cheap. -_-

• I spent several days in the hospital being tested for meningitis.

• I’ve spent the time sense then recovering from being punctures 5 times, for the test for meningitis. (A long needle inserted between two vertebrae to get spinal fluid. It is the only way to test for the disease.) they had to do it 5 times because they discovered I have scoliosis. I am in a lot if pain and I have a lot of swelling. Spinal taps also cause excruciating headaches so I’ve had to lay down as much as possible because that’s pretty much the only treatment for it. Pain meds and caffeine work a little but but are temporary.

•my roommate broke the screen on my laptop, by accident, and the warranty doesn’t cover screen damage. The one I work from. The one I do my volunteer work from. Where I take orders and keep track of things for my very small business.

•the screw that holds the frame of my glasses fell out. As in putting a new screw in would be pointless because its stripped. I tried. That’s how I know. It’s being held together by a bent staple.

• that beautiful feline in the picture needs to go to the vet. She needs to be tested for both FIV and the FIV vaccination. (I didn’t know you could test for the vaccination but apparently you can. Had I known this sooner Ryuu might still be alive.)

•we still have two very large bills due at the beginning of September.

•oh and last night some neighborhood dog who we’ve never seen before, got into our fence and attacked two of our pigs so they’ve had to be rushed to the vet. Thankfully they are willing to work with us. They aren’t fatally wounded and are fine. But that’s just one more thing to add to the fire.

My biggest problem is that I can’t take orders right now. I’m still healing from the lumbar puncture and sitting upright to knit/crochet is still very painful. And it’s damn near impossible to do it in the laying down position I am stuck in. And even if I wasn’t still recovering, my primary means of communication (my computer) is in useable at the moment.

So I am once again asking you for help. I can’t reblog existing posts because I am stuck using my iPod. So i cant reblog this post every day or every other day. And have to make a new post each time.

So I got bored with my boring black headphones, so I made them awesome instead. These are my new and improved Steam Powered Giraffe themed headphones that I painted with nail polish. My headphones are officially 100% cooler ^_^
