This is tvstar1999, and this is my side blog where I post game projects, be it progress, updates or just promotion of the complete, because I tend to forget to document actual development.

Just… A bit of progress report that I was procrastinating waiting to write.

I’m just going to write here, as a journal, as a reminder, as a… record of my memory.

I’m currently running various gamedev project plans on the fly. Ambiguous scope and goals. Just for the sake of my sanity and excuses to fit my current needs.

The game. After 5+ years of pots and pans banging. It’s done. The remake. Of ~30 minutes.

After all of that misery, mocking, another misery and nonsense, you can finally attack Greg when it’s the final boss.

Oh, hello. I’m walking into the tags without a warn.

I’m that idiot making a super primitive game that I should. I like GUI’s. I like mechanics. The result is simple.

This is “DL_REWR”. A click-only game in dev, with dialogues in big ahh focus.

自作ゲームが完成した。３週間のダラダラの内、作った分だけ物になった。ゲーム自体は単純なものでちまちましている。

とりあえず、今回の制作はテーマと表現に重点を置いた。つまらないメカニクスの中、文章力と絵で勝負することにした。

今のところ、アピールは低い。投稿先が一つだけという問題もある。ふりーむやPlicyも検討しているが、どうしてもアプリケーション形式でリリースしたい。ふりーむの近頃の厳しい審査に引っかからないか、分からない。

ゲームジャムも何とか間に合わせた内、既に次を手掛けている。LOREGUIのアップデート制作。

文章をひたすら書いて、それをゲームに反映させる作業は、億劫だ。まあ何とかなるだろう。

他のゲーム制作も含めて、少しでも落ち着いたら完成した「ファミコンゲーム」をもっと広めていきたい。

ゲーム制作は順調に進んでいる。

とりあえず後の殆どの実装はストーリーのアドバンスと、最後の部分と、ソフトロックの画面だけ。もう少しメカニクスが欲しい様な気もするが、これ以上アイディアが思いつかない。

itchioで参加しているゲームジャムが始まった。1週間内にこちらも進めて行かなければならない。とりあえず簡単なメカニクスのアイディアは出して記録しておいた。

右クリックの検挙がおかしくなった。ドラッグしてから押さないと「クリック」にならなくなった上、マウスアプリケーションの再インストールや設定の編集も効かないので、そろそろパソコン自体の寿命かと判断する。（パソコンは5年以上経っている。）

ファミコン。インプット。バグ。

プレイヤーがバグに触れて、ファミコンの制御の化身が喋って、最後の最後はソフトロック。

「インプットの中の方が、ラクだよ。」

意外とこのタイプのアイディアに辿り着く人は少ないようだ。私と幾つかの似たような創作だけで、いかに実現させるか。

画面上のランダムスパンのバグに触れて、固定画面の化身を喋らせて、フェードアウト／セリフ／フェードイン。

最近、ゲームのアイディアが文章と素材ばかり書き込んで後は作らない、という悪循環に入ったのでなんとかしたい。

ワークベースを徐々に日本語圏に変換するのも、大変だ。こちらはもっとがっつりしたのが好みだそうで。子供じみた、ちまちました物は基本的に対象外。（まあ英語圏もそうなんだけど。）

Project FIG_RESTR: Good Progress For Good Grief

The game is going well, well-proved, well-made, just a slightly odd appeal in the gameplay and a taste in my lore building. (Also, with the upstairs “time to stop” banging slowly getting my sanity)

For this whole time, I forgot that the bullet’s collider was initially disabled, sometimes causing input issues after the first time battle sequence, so I proofed that part.

Minor works patched and served, sprite drawing, background making, code proofing, lore writing.

With this project... Maybe I’m hoping the game will get some attention, 10, 5, 3, 0, and below views and plays are all I need.

Then, in the last straw, I will continue to be creative, even when everything fails and collapses.

Oh, good grief and despair, will there be any cherries served?

Project FIG_RESTR: Oh Minor, Minor.

Worked on minor parts of the game, including the battle mechanics and foolproofing, along with timely resource updating.

The battle is now more spicy with the enemy trying to g e t you, counterattacking by absorbing your bullets and closing the distance…

With this simple yet annoying mechanic added, it’s much, much more satisfying to attack, while avoiding, parrying, waiting, and repeat… especially when the primitive bullets are intensely packed!

Writing foolproof snippets for sequence skipping, which sometimes happened with the vn-like progression part.

I could simplify that part a bit more, even to the point of ditching it to some degree, I still see a need to tell a story, so I write and write, assign, playtest, and…

It never ends, muuu……

Oh, minor, minor… I am so squeezed into a sponge just to get things to work!

(2026 Update: I had a bit oh hope and energy to keep doing it until I ultimately gave up. It really never ends.)

Project FIG_RESTR: No Way I’m Doing This Again

The prototype is going well. Internet-downloaded Godot shaders make the game look pretty.

I’m trying to write in-game lore on a small scale. More focus on the gameplay itself.

After getting into the grand restoration of the old idea, I just realized the mechanics are exactly Undertale-inspired Touhou-like bullet hell.

I’m trying to make it primitive and simple, so I can save my sanity trying to write an epic 50+ hrs “game” anymore. I hate that nonsense, so I’m focusing on the other great parts of the game, while adding (hopefully) short dialogues to make the progression part of the game.

This page releases the prototype updates whenever they're ready. If you happen to be interested, well...

Project FIG_RESTR: A Project On The Loose

Really, another one…

It is actually one of my earliest, proper game projects, originally concluded in 2018, then the only backup that exists right now is a result of a rundown deletion of the core source files, which even took the lore text to its victim.

I'm hoping this one will just be a simple pass-by project. It seems so perfect, with all of the mechanics and scripting I’ve done in Godot, rather than the original engine it was written in, Unity.

The stumbling problem: I have to write a story… yet again. Fuck. I hate writing stories inside the game.

I just want the game to be playable, not to write a novel within, yet stumbling upon this part of the process again and again. I hate it so much that it demotivates me.

Hopefully so, this project will go through that awful writing phase and see the release.

Project VF: Not Interesting

DEMOTIVATION!!!!

Too much to see in this competitive place, nothing to catch the eye of the coming flow. It sucks.

VF is being slow with disappointment of failure to interest the userbase, and my convictions to give up or keep doing it for nothing.

Really, all that is left is to write the rest of the story and debug the game system a bit. Why is it so hard?

...I'm guessing, that's why it's called gamedev and marketing. I'm just being unprofessional.

I swear, I will get this project around. I originally planned it to be 3 weeks, but I think it's going to extend to a month, or in the worst case scenario, a year-long abandonment and baking.

Project VF: In The Active Works

I'm doing it. The game. And by game I mean, well, experimental.

Project VF is progressing in its development since the initial call, accumulating a disgusting amount of code statements and fun writings in between.

When I plan and execute with simplicity in mind, the development becomes easier, in exchange of making the game too simple and boring. Which I still force it out of my mind and personal gain to the wild, perhaps I was always destined to create a story-story board UI game?

So far, I have coded a dialogue printing, a map object spawn, and used a similar technique to PPS with swapping stage/character images. It really only takes these mechanics to tell a story through my robust games!

(2026 Update: A strange type of visual novel, with complicated statement code inside. I was also expecting some “attention” for this game, which all failed loose.)
