We're about to launch our first Kickstarter for #projectblackguard Episode 02: #AssaultonCrucial and we couldn't be more excited to show you all the things we have in store. This is the first animation test ever created for Project BlackGuard. It was created in Toon Boom Harmony using a digital puppet rig. The goal of our production is to marry the fluidity of traditional frame by frame animation, with the speed and re-usability of digital puppet animation to achieve a final product that combines the best of both worlds, without being too obvious that it's mostly the latter. Here you can see us starting with rough traditional animation, and progressing towards the addition of the puppet, to clean up, efx and the final outcome. We hope you enjoy this little preview.
