[Flashback: Spring Break] A Tale of Two Cities Part 1 || Ellis and Ophelia
“You’ve bought a safety back?” Ophelia smirked up to him and then unpinned her hair so the curls loosely fell around her shoulders, she knew it would only end up down after the apparating anyway. “You really don’t trust me that much, do you?” She giggled softly and then leant on her tiptoes and placed a single kiss upon Ellis’ lips, knowing that soon this wouldn’t even be wrong, soon she would leave Hogwarts and her and Ellis could actually call themselves something. Wrapping her fingers around his, the deep feeling of nausea spread over her, not because they were about to apparate but because at any given moment, whilst they were in the air, whilst they were together even whilst she leant up to give him a kiss, he could spot it. He could spot the thing that could ruin them instantly, he could spot the mark. “Is that really your passport?” Ophelia gazed down at his pocket and saw the little booklet pop just over his trouser pocket line. “That’s a back up, right? Or were you really planning on getting a plane by yourself?” A wide grin spread over Ophelia’s lips as the pair of them began walking down the ally way towards her new flat in London. “I found this beauty a few weeks back whilst I was searching for a home, she’s gorgeous.” Turning the corner, the pair were lead up to a single apartment, the walls were brick, the decor was from the olden times and there was a little hand painted post on the front of it. “Miss Blaire. Number 7.”
Ophelia smiled excitedly and then bought him into her home, throwing the keys down on the side as she searched through the newly unpacked boxes for her handbag. “I haven’t quite finished unpacking yet, but it’s getting there, right?” Glancing around the apartment, they were faced with the kitchen with the middle island, the big deserted living room and a bedroom with an en suite. “It’s big enough for me anyway.” Ophelia had never owned something of her own like this, apart from her mark, so it was a great feeling to hold a pair of keys that belonged just to her. “Okay, do you want to make a cuppa whilst I quickly change into something more suitable? I doubt these heels would be good for apparating.” Ophelia laughed softly and then traipsed off towards the big bedroom down the hall as Ellis remained stood in the kitchen. “Help yourself to a snack.” She called back as she rummaged around in her boxes for a pair of sneakers.
Ellis returned the kiss back against Ophelia's lips and now there wasn't a single nerve in his body or a voice in his head that told him to pull away from the kiss and leave her right here, right now. It was so right and now not in anyway wrong for him. Even if she didn't, Ellis already had them classed them as an item in his mind and knowing that he could trust someone like this again made him the happiest he'd been in a long time. "Yes, it is. Just in case we decide to not travel via apparition after all. I wouldn't go flying on my own. You'd have to wait hours in Norway just for me to arrive if I took the plane by myself." The grin that was tugging at his lips remained in position as he wrapped his fingers around hers almost in a reassuring manner as they continued to walk down the road that Ellis recognised from when he and Olivia-Rose used to live together. He gazed up at the red-brick building that stood tall in front of them and nodded to show that he approved of the place before turning down to look at her. "I like it. It's a decent apartment for sure."
As they entered the flat together, Ellis looked around and noticed how it was almost identical to his flat that he lived in with Olivia-Rose. It wasn't where they used to live, but it did look a lot like it and it made him begin to question whether she still lived around here or went back to France, her original home. Ophelia's voice was nothing but an echo in the back of his mind as these multiple thoughts ran through his head but her voice suddenly became clear when he came back from a world of his own. He nodded as the smile faded slightly on his lips. "Sure. Do you want one, or would you prefer a coffee?" He turned and paced himself slowly towards the kitchen as he awaited her reply from the opposite side of her new home.
