- Ezreal is an Orphan and holds the forbidden weapon called Durandal, from which the academy gets its namesake. Legend says that anybody who tries to use Durandal will die an untimely death, which is the fate the befell Ezreals parents.

- Ezreal was admitted to the academy after being discovered in the ruins of his parents home wearing Durandal, something nobody had done in hundreds of years. The exact specifics of the incident which let to him taking up Durandal are unknown, however after being found injured Yuumi speculates that there was some form of attack that led him to putting it on in desperation.

- Even though he was only made a student officially during highschool, Ezreal lived in academy since he was 12, as thats when he was taken in as a foster child, so most the staff at the academy are like extended family.

- DURANDAL IS A DARKIN. In game when Ezreal hits 5 stacks on his passive he goes super sayian but the form is distinctively...evil looking. Durandal (Duraandal) is an old Darkin sealed away til a wielder who’s soul was akin to it’s own picked it up. The Duraandal form is distinctively not good and if used will likely have dire consequences for everybody, friend and foe alike.

- DID SOMEBODY SAY TOURNAMENT ARC? YEAH I DID. Theres a tournament arc. Final round is Ezreal vs Kat and Ezreal wins which sparks their love hate relationship that slowly transitions into just friendship (kat acts the antagonist for the first ‘arc’ to establish things in universe once that role is complete she transitions into just being a good guy:tm:) 

- Lux hated Ezreal for a long time because her family expected her to be the top of every class bar none just like her brother but when Ezreal joined the school he suddenly took the place as top student and she perceives Ezreals success as an attempt to actively spite her.

- Lux discovers Ezreal is actually just a lonely kid who feels like he owes so much to everybody that if he achieved anything less than perfection then he’d be insulting all the people who put their faith in him and they become friends when she realizes they’re very similar.

- Graves is his dad.

   Ezreal wasn’t one to try and start fights. Frankly he didn’t like violence and the fact that this…well whatever it was, could probably maul him on a whim if it got its hands on him (it wouldn’t of course, but what if scenarios were important when scheming) really helped him decide against getting into an argument.

    Or at least it would have, but the fact was that this…wolf? Werewolf? this Werewolf had really hit a nerve with that statement and against all semblances of sanity screaming “do NOT engage”, he really couldn’t let it slide.
