Betty (2020) dir. Taylor Swift
The moment I pieced it together, I couldn’t for the life of me get the Cardigan/August/Betty story out of my head. It’s so wonderful, and tender, and full of teenage longing. Seventeen is the loneliest year, but I wouldn’t change a thing about it. These songs are the perfect little vignettes, and I couldn’t help but think that I’d love to see a film about them. So I wrote a little scene about what might happen after James shows up at Betty’s door. All credit for this world and its characters belongs to the wonderful @taylorswift.
