disclaimer ;; sorry if this seems all over the place atm ? this will most likely be updated later & a separate post of her lore fully explained will be made soon. i’m relatively new to tumblr rp & tumblr as a whole. </3
born kimiko usagi ,, later changed to penelope due to an identity breach !!! powers are ecokinesis, though it has its limitations, only able to use certain abilities in specific biomes & weather. abilities she has access to most often are her chlorokinesis & zoolingualism,, and she uses them more often than the others. often has doubts about her powers & deems herself as ‘weak’ due to the fact that she hasn’t discovered most of her abilities yet from where she’s located.
has many nicknames & many aliases. penny , pen & flowerchild are most common for her. for her birth name ,, she was affectionately called kimi, kiki & miko. jokingly ,, she received the nicknames kimichi , clementine (due to her orange hair) , carrot & ballpoint pen. furthermore ,, she received the nicknames bunny & hops due to some of her bunny - like habits. (listed in google doc) her hero identities include the names chrysalis & mariposa, with chrysalis being what she went by in her early days as poison ivy’s mentee & mariposa being what she’d chosen on her own accord in her later years as a hero.
born in japan ,, and lived there for most of her childhood years, until her family relocated to hawaii for her father’s job pursuit, looking for an opening into the science world. her father eventually met his demise in the lab, during the same accident penny received her abilities. a bring your child to work day gone wrong over an experiment on chlorophyll & its genes caused an entire science team, including her father to perish, leaving her & her guilt to be the only survivors. she views her powers as a curse & a large reminder of what she’d ‘done,’ though she’d never use them to cause any harm. after this incident, she relocated to gotham city with her mother, only for them to become very distant & result in her fleeing to metropolis for better opportunities. (important note ; while living in gotham,, she had a brief mentorship with poison ivy.)
her most important friendship of hers would soon become garfield logan / beast boy, along with most of the titans, though gar had always remained closest to her & was always her favorite. (not to mention her big fat crush on him) other friendships & partnerships of hers also include the young justice team ! she’s got quite a few love interests cause she & i are both greedy ,, but her main ones are garfield logan , conner kent / superboy , derek james / sideways & dick grayson / nightwing. (always open to more, as well as oc x oc ships !) she’s also got several pets ,, two cats named muffin (calico cat) & frenchie, (ragdoll cat with a peculiar ‘mustache’ pattern, hence the name), two bunnies named dottie (black n white) & biscuit (blonde - ish), and a puppy named sweetpea. (blonde daschund)

dyes her hair orange frequently due to familial issues. her & father looked extremely similar, and her grieving mother resents her for ‘causing’ his death, so she dyes her hair vibrantly orange to deter this. orange was the color of choice to feel like she ‘fit in’ during her mentorship with poison ivy ,, and because she looked up to her almost.
