Always go too far, because that’s where you’ll find the truth.
Albert Camus (via thehopefulquotes)
Because it is the desire to be secure, when there is probably no security at all, that breeds conflict. If psychologically you see the truth that there is no security of any kind, of any type, at any level, there is no conflict. Then, you rule with life; you are active, creative, volcanic in your action, explosive in your ideas; you are not tethered to anything. Then you are living.“
Krishnamurti

Don’t listen to yourself. Listen to the advice you give others.

Nietzsche was the one who did the job for me. At a certain moment in his life, the idea came to him of what he called ‘the love of your fate.’ Whatever your fate is, whatever the hell happens, you say, 'This is what I need.’ It may look like a wreck, but go at it as though it were an opportunity, a challenge…

mindmichael "| remember when I first arrived at my teacher Ajahn Chah's monastery, he looked at me and said, "I hope you're not afraid of suffering." I replied,
"What do you mean? I came here to meditate and find inner peace and happiness." He explained, "There are two kinds of suffering-the suffering we run from because we are unwilling to face the truth of life, and the suffering that comes when we're willing to stop running from the sorrows and difficulties of the world. The second kind of suffering will lead you to freedom." (excerpt "Bringing Home the Dharma")
May you have the strength and courage not only to face your suffering, but to also embrace the opportunities for love, laughter and compassion that are near you every day.

To cause yourself and your life to be intensely filled with happiness, do everything you can to give happiness to others.
Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can.
As long as ever you can.
May you be well and happy my friends.
I am grateful for your interest in Dharma and following my blog.

What you contemplate, you touch. What you enter into in imagination, you make yourself one with.

I see the psychedelic experience as a birthright, and we can’t have a free society until people are free to explore their own mind.

I don’t think it’s necessary to know exactly what I am. The main interest of life and work is that they allow us to become someone different from the one we were at the beginning. If you knew, when you start writing a book, what you are going to say at the end, do you think you would have the courage to write it? What is valid for writing and for a loving relationship is also valid for life. The thing is only worth it to the extent that we don’t know how it will end.
—Michel Foucault
Love your solitude and try to sing out with the pain it causes you. For those who are near you are far away and this shows that the space around you is beginning to grow vast. Be happy about your growth, in which of course you can't take anyone with you, and be gentle with those who stay behind; be confident and calm in front of them and don't torment them with your doubts and don't frighten them with your faith or joy, which they wouldn't be able to comprehend. Seek out some simple and true feeling of what you have in common with them, which doesn't necessarily have to alter when you yourself change again and again; when you see them, love life in a form that is not your own and be indulgent toward those who are growing old, who are afraid of the aloneness that you trust and don't expect any understanding; but believe in a love that is being stored up for you like an inheritance, and have faith that in this love there is a strength and a blessing so large that you can travel as far as you wish without having to step outside it.
Rilke
"No one can tell us what freedom is, neither the church nor the politician nor the teacher nor the guru, and especially the speaker. He cannot possibly tell you what freedom is. He can only describe it verbally, but what is described is not the real thing. The description is not the described. One has to find out for oneself what it is, otherwise we cannot live at peace with one another and there cannot be unity between human beings."
Jiddu Krishnamurti
The deeper spiritual call is that which intrudes upon your normal, everyday experience. It’s the thing that you don’t create, make up, or decide; it’s just there. All of a sudden, one day, you’re just called into this different life orientation, and you don’t really know why.

Gaia Dharma - "We are all indigenous to this earth. We are made to know ourselves in relationship to nature. Humanity is a super-organism nested within the larger super-organism of Gaia. The Human Project is currently severely out of alignment with the Earth Project. AI will only amplify this if we don’t do deeper work around alignment now.
Evolution made us to co-regulate with, richly attune to and participate in our environments and our earth. If we want to build a human world that works (and flourishes) in the long term, we will need to revitalize all forms of wisdom that nourish indigeneity to our planet. We will need to align human beings, human cultures and human-created technologies with the wellbeing of all of life."
