The 740s, likewise, are oranges and yellows (there's more of them)

I think what happened is that they released a number of threads at one point numbered 100-something. Then they were able to add more colors over time to each color family. That’s when some colors jump around from low 500’s to the 1000’s in number. Then colors that can’t be produced anymore are the missing numbers. We recently got 1-35 and they fit into the color families to make better gradients like including. Very pale purple and super light grey.
I’m currently making a color wheel cross stitch of sorts that I designed using the 600+ colors. It’s taken me since 2020 working on it to get half way. Then again I take breaks from it because it’s very tedious.
