this part of the book destroyed me because imagine rocky’s fear and panic as he tries to figure out how to save his ship that has been taken over by taumeoba and no longer has fuel; and he’s still so, so far away from home and he’s thinking he failed not only his people but his mate and grace, too; and he thinks he’s destined to die the same way as his crew mates when he came so close to being able to save erid; but by some unexpected twist of fate, he hears grace’s voice come through his radio and he realizes he’ll never have to be alone again.
