I keep seeing posts suggesting the Bold Type as a very representative show and I don’t doubt that it is, but that’s ALL I ever see of it. i have never seen screencaps, fanart, fanedits, or really anything on what it’s ACTUALLY about.

a lot of people have been messaging me and such telling me how great it is and stuff and I don't doubt them but I still know next to nothing about the show. Like who even are the MCs? or what's even the main plotline? I could easily look it up but that's not entirely the point. Social media plays a huge part in recommending books, tv shows, movies, etc. yet not many people are gonna want to watch something when they know nothing about it other than it having representation. Imagine if a commercial came out for a new movie that has all the LGBT and POC actors/actresses starring in it, but the commercial was just the characters say... walking down a beach. that's it. it doesn't tell us anything about what the movie is about. So a movie with potential for greatness could fall flat just because not much went into it marketing wise. I hope this isn't coming across as an attack or anything, I'm glad there's a show with representation out there that people seem to enjoy, but there's just near nothing advertising it. I haven't seen commercials on it and posts suggesting it don't actually say anything about the show itself. I'm sorry if this isn't written well and what not, I hope I'm getting my point across.
