Until recently, Printz Board was the man behind the stage and scenes. He has been the support of many well-known artists in the industry. This man behind the scenes has now come forward to proof his real talent as a singer with his own solo album titled Board Games. Printz is a musician, songwriter, producer, director, recording artist, multi instrumentalist and is a Grammy Award winner for his various contributions to the music industry. He is best known for his contribution as music director, producer and a songwriter for the band Black Eyed Peas. For the band he has co-written many hit songs like “Where is the Love?”, “Don’t Phunk with My Heart,” and “Meet Me Halfway”?

Apart from the band, he has worked and collaborated for many famous artists and the list includes the name Michael Jackson, Katy Perry, Chris Brown, Macy Gray, Sheryl Crow, Natasha Bedingfield etc. He has worked either as a producer or a songwriter for them and their album. With his sheer musical talent and knowledge of Hip-Hop music, Soul, R & B, POP, Printz has been able to woo world with his debut single “#1”, that got featured on MTV Buzzworthy, mtvU and VEVO. With the entire positive buzz created by him, it seems that he has been received well by his audiences.

He showed interest in music at a very early age and picked up the trumpet at an age of 10. Music has always been an important part of his life as he comes from Columbus, Ohio, the home of many legendry musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, The Eagles and P-Funk. These music legends helped him to discover and understand the genre-defying artistry.

Printz Board Then and Now

During the struggling days, Printz worked as keyboard player for a band in Log Angeles. Back then he had no idea that the band he is a part of would evolved as one of the most popular and successful band of present. The band is now The Black Eyed Peas that has given us many hit songs and stage performances. Printz Board has worked as a songwriter and music producer for the band and has directed the band's live stadium shows as well. However, during the fall of 2013, Printz decided to step forward and come in front of the camera with his solo project. This came with the band's decision to take a break from work; and he decided to utilize all his time to his own album.

Music industry is a vast industry which has many famous and reputed musicians including singers, composers, lyricists, and music directors. This industry has been witnessed many famed musicians and also many who could sustain their position in the arena. Board has been working with the band as its music director and been handling the band’s live stage performances. Board’s decision to come up with his solo album was due to the decision of Black Eyed Peas’ to take a break. As soon as the band decided to take a break, Board thought to utilize and devote his time to his long-desired solo album. Printz Board as an indie artist made his mark in the industry with his solo song #1 and Hey you. The songs hit the music charts and were able to make their own position among various songs by famed artists.

As a keyboard player to a musical director for The Black Eyed Peas, Printz Board has come a long way and has garnered a good name in the musical arena. He has been an essential part of the Peas’ success co-writing many songs and working as musical director for the band’s massive live shows. His work and contribution to the band has earned him several Grammy Awards including    one for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group in 2007, “My Humps” and Best Pop Vocal Album The E.N.D. in 2010. After achieving an illustrious career with the band, Printz Board has stepped out of the band (as it decided to take a break), to be a solo artist.

Printz is an immensely talented musician and can play any instrument he gets his hands on from the keyboards to the bass to the trumpet. Stepping out of the band, he said that its time for him to show the world his talent and creation. He has proved his worth with his compelling mix of danceable tunes including ingredient from soul, funk, R & B to hip hop music. Promoting his music as an indie artist, he has been able to create a solid position in the music industry with his debut single “#1″ that got premièred on MTV Buzzworthy and mtvU.

While being associated with the band he has co-written many hits for the band and also worked as the music director handling its live stage shows for many years. Printz Board as a music producer, has worked with many renowned artists such as Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, Busta Rhymes, Chris Brown, Dr. Dre, Fergie, Selena Gomez and Katy Perry. He has also worked with Kim Dotcom helping him with his album Good Times that got released in 2013. To work for Kim and his album, Printz spent six months in New Zealand.
