Granary to Printshop Remodel

A new tin roof for the Tin Can print shop.

Now I don’t have to keep unscrewing and screwing the back door shut all the time.

Purchased by my parents in 1970 for their new home. Now installed in the shop. Ambience.

I thought every print shop had a drum set with a sleeping kitty.

So now I’m starting to think I might have built this shop, only to have a wall to display my collection of cheap guitars.

A rustic gift for the new shop. And I used it today. It was cold enough to wear a coat to the shop, and warm enough in the shop to take it off when I got there.

First things first. Hang some art, er, instruments. 

That’s all. I’m calling it, “finished.” Or, “good enough; let’s move in.”

Lumber grade mark. Stamped on the back of a piece of siding, reclaimed from my grandmother's former chicken coop.

Adding a steel entry door inside the original wooden shed door. Fixing some rotten boards as well.

40″ by 84″ insulated door being built for the shop. 

Got my sticker. Electrical inspection: Passed.

Carving. But not for printing. Mortising the hinges for the new front door.

Shop is wired. Awaiting inspection. 

Insulated the shop last week with 2,000 lbs. of recycled paper. Very apropos. 

Door latch holder repaired.
